My beautiful and kind mother as she appeared in an issue of Homefront Magazine. This was a magazine created for those fighting World War II to keep them informed of what was going on at home in the Slate Belt Area. Addresses were given for each "Fairest of the Month" for the exchange of letters. I miss her every day. I am so very grateful to have had such a wonderful mother. Happy Mother's Day to Phyllis Lorraine Murphy Herd!❤❤❤

You're all invited to join Bill Marshall and me on Friday, May 3rd, at Gallery Calapooia for our reception! It's also the annual Albany Downtown Wine Walk and GC will be hosting Lumos Winery. It will be a crazy evening, but you don't have to partake in the wine tasting. Just stop by and see our new work, have some chocolates and cheese, and say hello! I look forward to seeing you there.

1st Friday Artist Reception at Gallery Calapooia is on Friday, October 6 from 6-8pm. The Featured Artists for the month of October are Linda Herd and Pat Spark. Their work will be showcased up front and in their featured artist window from September 26 to October 28.

Linda Herd and Pat Spark have been working with new concepts for their joint Featured Artist show. They both took classes to learn new aspects of their chosen art areas- metal and fiber. Head downtown to Gallery Calapooia to check out what they have created.
