My paintings celebrate the visually absorbing shapes, colors, textures and eccentric details of the urban landscape. I've developed a completely original technique of using precise ink images with acrylic tones painted over each other, resembling thin semi-opaque layers. I'm also an avid photographer of vintage architectural elements - signs, statues, facades, subway mosaics and stained glass win

dows. I've recently begun to exhibit my photographs along with my illustrations. CUSTOM HOUSE PORTAITS:

Imagine your home portrayed in an original, personal and lasting work of art. I specializes in ink and acrylic house portraits and architectural landscapes, providing an onsite photographic consultation as an integral part of this personal experience. I've spent more than twenty-five years crafting my original style and technique on a broad array of historic buildings throughout Metro New York and Greater Boston. Creating a specific mood and sense of place, I'll interpret your home in fine detail with vibrant acrylics or elegant pen and ink. Giving a custom painting of a friend's house is giving a future family heirloom. Consider a commission for a business logo, advertising art or local historic landmark. Promotional art postcards and limited-edition prints are an effective and dynamic fundraising tool for both private businesses and non-profit organizations. Take this opportunity to own a work of art which represents the joy and pride you have in your home, historic building or business, a timeless creation of unique value.

Many artworks commissioned by the rich and powerful for their final resting places have rarely been seen by the living for the last century.

Sadly this building is currently vacant and deteriorating.

Do you drive by this building in downtown Albany and wonder what it was built for?

The Dutch-inspired building, erected in 1907, served as the Hudson River Day Line ticket office until 1948. The steamboats operated by the Hudson River Day Line were famous for their speed and elegant furnishings. The building was moved approximately 100 feet south of its original location when the Delaware and Hudson and Albany Evening Journal buildings were built.

An obsession with luxury is transforming cities into bland, isolating landscapes. Architecture should be for creating community.

Marketing is consuming our culture to the point that the product seems almost irrelevant to its own success.

As we are nearing the end of 2023, now is the perfect time to do an end of year investment in the restoration project at 48 Hudson Ave. HAF has received over $1.7M in grant funds for our restoration work at the Van Ostrande-Radliff House. The last piece of the puzzle is investment in the NYS and Federal Rehabilitation Tax Credits. We have already had several investors at the minimum investment level and up, each contributing an amount that is meaningful to them. If you've been thinking about being a part of Albany's oldest building, check out our investment page at https://commonowner.com/project/48-hudson

It's officially fall!

In the 1920s and 1930s the New York Central Railroad commissioned noted artists to paint attractive scenes and popular destinations served by its routes, and used the images on promotional materials. This original painting of Storm King Mountain by Walter Greene was reproduced as a poster. Beginning in 1903, Schenectady native Walter Greene managed the art department at General Electric for thirty-seven years. In the 1920s he also started working for the New York Central, where he was their chief calendar illustrator from 1925 until 1931 and produced rich, attractive landscapes of the Hudson Valley and Adirondack Mountains for advertising purposes.

📍 Tavira.
