Ways of the Earth Living Museum

Ways of the Earth Living Museum Ancient skills brought to life through a community living as our ancestors did... at the Tracker School. The Living Museum is a new endeavor in development.

Vision: A community learning to live in harmony with the Earth and each other. Mission: Sharing a primitive lifestyle offering people opportunity to deepen their connection with the natural world. Core Values:
• Keeping the welfare of the Earth and the future generations at the heart of all decisions.
• Making community decisions from the heart using consensus and peaceful conflict resolution.

Mastering the physical and spiritual skills passed down by Stalking Wolf through Tom Brown Jr. and sharing them with others.
• Embodying a life of service.
• Respecting others and their journey in life and helping them as they choose.
• Living with peace, love, joy and purpose at our core.
• Caretaking the land we live on.
• Creating a safe and nurturing environment for children of all species. This non-profit organization is based on the primitive living skills and Earth philosophies passed down by Grandfather Stalking Wolf as taught by Tom Brown Jr. This will be a community where people can come and learn to live as our ancestors have done for countless generations. These ancient skills are a part of the human experience and need to be preserved into the future. This community will be for families, schools and groups to come and experience these skills as living- not something to be viewed through glass cases at a museum. Skills include everything from flintknapping and hide tanning to baskets, pottery, foraging, tracking and all the skills necessary to live. In addition to the day experience of the museum, people may also attend classes for a weekend, week or month to learn the skills themselves and experience this unique way of living. These skills are a doorway to living closer with the Earth and truly becoming caretakers of the natural world. We have secured land in Indiana and will begin building the village in the fall of 2014. Some programs will run over the fall and winter months and the museum will open in spring 2015.
