Thank you so very much to Karen & Rob Wardlaw and Carol for the beautiful addition of centerpieces and plants to our Veterans Library. The centerpieces have the names of all the sailors that lost their lives while assigned to the USS Constitution. Perfect memorial addition to our USS Constitution model ship.

On April 26, 2026, the Chicagoland Veterans Campus had the honor of hosting two Korean War heroes who served with the 65th Infantry Regiment, the Borinqueneers of the Puerto Rico National Guard 🇺🇸

Surrounded by family, friends, and supporters, we recognized Corporal Raul Cardona and Sergeant and Reverend Tomas Lozada for their dedicated and selfless service. They were honored by the Village of Addison, the City of Chicago, Mayor Tom Hundley, Alderman Gilbert Villegas, Borinqueneers Exhibit Director Irma Cornier, and CVC President Lorenzo Fiorentino.

We’re proud to present this video to you, capturing the emotion, the honor, and the meaning behind a truly unforgettable day.

It was a powerful reminder that no matter how much time has passed, the sacrifices of our veterans and their families must never be forgotten.
