☕📖 Join us this Saturday for an afternoon unlike any other at the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace Museum!

As we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary and the 178th anniversary of the historic Seneca Falls Convention, be among the first to experience the debut of our brand-new interactive exhibit, The Rejected Stone: Justice & the American Founding.

Discover the remarkable story behind one of Susan B. Anthony’s own books—an abolitionist work that challenged slavery, sparked conversation, and was passed through generations of the Anthony family. Explore interactive displays throughout the Museum, view Susan’s handwritten inscription inside the book, and uncover one of the lesser-known influences that helped shape her lifelong commitment to justice and equality.

Following the exhibit opening, enjoy our signature Afternoon Tea in the Museum garden with tea, finger sandwiches, desserts, and conversation in the very place where Susan B. Anthony’s story began.

We had a busy Independence Day weekend here at the SBABM! 🇺🇸 Take a look!

Thank you to everyone who braved the warm weather on Friday evening to attend our annual reenactment of Susan B. Anthony’s 1876 speech, “The Declaration of the Rights of Women of the United States.” A special thank you to the The Rainbow Shack for generously providing complimentary ice cream after the program! 🍦

We also had a wonderful time marching in the Williamstown Parade in 19th-century attire with our “Votes for Women” banner. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us! ❤️🤍💙

It was a cold and windy day at Thunderfest, but still a pleasure to be out serving the local community.

We had Adams’ favorite SBA Reenactor Muriel Dyas, Spring intern Faith Motta, and gift shop manager Kristen Demeo brave the weather for Susan! 💪

Faith Motta (pictured middle) started as a volunteer in 2021, and today she is our spring intern studying Education at UMass Amherst.

Faith is currently developing engaging activities for student field trips (grades 9-12), aiming to make sure each school visit to the Birthplace meets curriculum standards for teachers.

We’re grateful to have Faith as part of our team this spring and summer!

This Women’s History Month, we reflect on Susan B. Anthony and the women who shared in her work. Notice the many photos of women that adorn her desk.

Together, they studied, organized, and committed themselves to something larger than their own time.

A movement built not by one voice, but by many.

We celebrate each and every one of them this month, and invite you to join us in doing the same.

Visit the Susan B. Anthony Birthplace, open every weekend, and to learn more about how Susan tirelessly fought for the rights of women. 💜💛
