NEW CLASS🚨 Varnish your watercolors and keep them safe. This new technique leaves finding a glass frame behind!
Varnishing A Watercolor Painting with Robin Masek
📅Saturday, Oct. 31-
⏰ 3:00-5:00 (One Day Workshop)
Cost: $30 Ages 18 and older.
DESCRIPTION:
In this class, Robin will demonstrate the steps to varnish a watercolor painting. Multiple drying times are needed between the different steps. To speed up the demonstration, Robin will demonstrate each step and then move on to the next step, so you see the whole process. You will be provided with a list of materials needed and instructions on how to varnish a watercolor painting. “Varnishing” a watercolor is a newer technique and makes it possible for you to frame a watercolor painting without having to put glass over it.

We have a lot going on at the Art House!
📅 10/24 3-7pm Come see us at the Halloween JamBOOree. This is a great event for kids. We host a craft and face-painting booth! This is a free event at Logan Farm Park

📅 11/7 4-7pm Opening Reception for Holiday Gifts and More! A brand new exhibit with small things. Hosted at the Art House.

📅 11/14 10-4pm Holiday Gift Shop! Over 45 artists will have booths in the Acworth Community Center. Great way to support local!

📅 12/5 4-7pm Reception for Holiday Gifts and More! Hosted at the Art House.

📅 12/15 Mark your calendar for our next submission deadline. Theme TBA. This will be the first exhibit of 2027. Might as well mark it in the calendar with everything else!

The last exhibit of the year will be here before we know it! October 15th is the last day to submit work for the "Holiday Gifts & More" Exhibit!

November 7- December 19: “Holiday Gifts & More”
Open Submissions (Submissions accepted Monday, August 17 thru Thursday, October 15) The idea behind the “Holiday Gifts & More” Exhibit is to display and offer for sale smaller pieces of two & three dimensional art, that are more affordable, and would make great gifts during the Holiday Gift Giving Season. Winter or holiday themed or “gift themed” subjects are encouraged!

Two and Three Dimensional Works in any medium will be considered for this exhibit. Please submit up to four 2-dimensional pieces or up to six 3-dimensional pieces. Maximum size (inclusive of frame, if framed) to be considered is 16x20.

Delivery of works: Tuesday & Wednesday, November 3 & 4, Noon-6pm. Pick-up of works at the end of the exhibit: Tuesday & Wednesday, January 5 & 6, 2027, Noon-6pm.

Receptions: Saturday, November 7, 4-7pm and Saturday, December 5, 4-7pm.

'Tis the season! Give the Gift of Art this season. It's one month away over 40+ different artists!
Our Holiday Gift Shop is just around the corner! All work is by our Member Artists.
This event will take place in the Acworth Community Center, in the Tanyard Creek Overlook space. The Holiday Gift Shop will be on Saturday, November 14 from 10am-4pm. There is no entrance fee.

Learn to weave with glass!
Glass Fusing and Slumping- with Teresa
📅 Next Class Dates: Wednesdays, Nov. 4-18 (3 weeks)
⏰ Time: 2-4pm
Description:
This class is for beginners as well as those with prior experience. In this class you will create masterpieces with glass fusing. Glass pieces are first cut and layered, then fused in a kiln. Your creations can then be placed in a mold and fired again to change the shape. You will have one of a kind works of art when you are finished.

Join us for a fun and creative class where you will learn how to create a beautiful 3d layered paper shadow box. This workshop is the perfect way to try something new and make lasting memories. Bring a friend, or make new ones! No experience necessary.
Shadowbox Workshop with Celeste!
📅Saturday, October 17- Select 1 of these images as your project.
⏰ 10:00-12:00 (One Day Workshop)
Cost: $60 All Supplies Included. Ages 15 and older.
DESCRIPTION:
Each shadow box is anywhere from 8 to 14 layers, and can be completed in 1-2 hrs, depending on design chosen and your experience. All materials will be provided, and you will leave the class with your own beautiful framed 8” x 8” shadow box to display in your home or office. Choose one of the 9 amazing designs from the date of your class above. Questions can be emailed to Celeste at: [email protected].
