Abita Springs Park is in the town's Historic District, along the Abita River where Choctaw Indians settled. It hosts many festivals and is open all year. In the park are the Museum, a bike trail, amphitheater, an historic pavilion, covered picnic areas, a splash pad, and a children's playground. Within a short drive, you can tour the Abita Brewery and the UCM Museum (a.k.a. the Abita Mystery House), eat at one of three restaurants within two blocks, view the Nature Conservancy's Abita Creek Preserve, or play a round of golf.
