Another quarantine project...termites be gone!

Thanks Hassman Termite and Pest Control! We can all sleep better at night knowing this is taken care of.

We were able to tackle this with a lot of donations and some grant money!

Not many pest control companies can say they’ve treated an entire town- but we can! Last week we were given an amazing opportunity to protect Old Abilene Town. Here’s some photos from the day- it was just as much fun as it was work!

The pandemic has proven to be productive...for some of us at least 😂

Some of our amazing board members volunteered their time and skills to create a bathroom! It’s accessible from the saloon and photo booth. The two buildings used to be completely separate and the spaces were nothing but cobwebs and storage - now they’re functional and look pretty darn good, if we do say so ourselves!

Materials are mostly reclaimed and what we had on hand. We wouldn’t have been able to do this without the volunteer labor!

A huge thank you to Andrew Kijowski, Lisa Miller Kijowski, Abby Kijowski, Roger Alesia Hutchison Watt, Joy Johnson Butler, Greg Wilson, and everyone else that lent a hand!

I have a question, I'm planning a trip to visit the cow towns of Kansas, and this is one of the stops on my list. In order for me to plan accordingly, how much time would you say is needed to gain the full experience of the town?
