The Southeast Alabama STEM Learning Ecosystem and The ATTA Library of STEM & History are proud to announce that Miss Abbeville 2025, Scarlett Law, has chosen STEM education as her official platform during her reign.
As a former student intern with The ATTA, Scarlett has witnessed firsthand the power of hands-on STEM learning and its impact on students in rural communities. Now, she is using her platform to advocate for greater access to STEM education across Southeast Alabama.
Scarlett’s commitment to STEM aligns perfectly with the mission of The ATTA and the Southeast Alabama STEM Learning Ecosystem, which work collaboratively to provide innovative STEM learning experiences, teacher training, and workforce development opportunities for students across the region.
Throughout the year, Miss Abbeville will engage in a variety of initiatives, including:
• School Visits & Community Events: Hosting STEM demonstrations and speaking to students about careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.
• Social Media Awareness Campaigns: Sharing STEM success stories, hands-on experiments, and digital engagement opportunities through The ATTA’s platforms.
• Partnerships with Local Businesses & Organizations: Collaborating with industry leaders to connect students with real-world STEM experiences.
• Advocacy for STEM Programs & Resources: Meeting with educators, policymakers, and community stakeholders to promote investment in STEM education.
“I’ve always been passionate about STEM, and The ATTA has played a huge role in shaping my appreciation for science and innovation,” said Scarlett. “Through my role as Miss Abbeville, I want to show students—especially those from small towns like mine—that they have endless opportunities in STEM.”
Scarlett will represent Abbeville in the upcoming Miss National Peanut Festival Pageant, bringing her message of STEM advocacy to a broader audience. The ATTA and the Southeast Alabama STEM Learning Ecosystem are thrilled to support her efforts and look forward to seeing the impact of her advocacy over the next year.
