火燒庄地質博物館不僅是一座博物館，也是村民們的生活場所。兩者之間並沒有一條可以清楚指出的界線，住所與博物館的使用空間彼此交疊，生活物件與館藏也同時存在其中。每一次預約參觀，都意味著一次從住所到博物館的轉換過程。館員開始除塵、清洗、修補和粉刷，把生活中的物件暫時移除與收納。這項工作被館員們稱為「整理」。博物館並未恆久地維持在一個完成的狀態。它在每一次開館之前，經由反覆勞動逐漸成形，參觀結束以後，又重新隱沒於日常之中。
Huesio Geological Museum is not only a museum but also a place where the villagers live. There is no clearly discernible boundary between the two. The living quarters and museum occupy the same spaces, while household objects and museum collections exist side by side.
Each scheduled visit entails a process of converting the residence into a museum. The museum staff begin dusting, washing, repairing, and repainting, while temporarily removing and storing away the objects of everyday life. This work is referred to by the staff as “tidying up.”
The museum is not permanently maintained in a completed state. Before each opening, it gradually takes shape through repeated labour. Once the visit has ended, it recedes again into everyday life.
