靖翁陶藝 In 1986, Jing Om recognizing aboriginal culture and try to recaptures the essence of aboriginal culture in an abstract ceramic creation.

靖翁自小熱愛繪畫,1975年接觸到陶瓷後,深深被釉藥豐富多樣的變化所著迷,並經歷各種陶瓷工廠實地操作,從煉土、拉坏、刻畫、釉藥配置、燒窯等一系列製程的磨練,打下了深厚的陶瓷製作基本功。 1986年,受原住民文化自然、具有強烈情感的藝術表現所感動,並伴隨腦海中從小在鄉下山林的成長經驗與生活記憶,讓他深受震撼,開始了一系列半倣傚半開拓性的原住民創作。1992年開始成立自己個人的工作室。很快地其原住民故事背景的作品,讓他受到眾人矚目。1996年應邀日本東京參展,獲得東京都美術館「國際藝術文化賞」殊榮,1997年應邀德國柏林民族學博物館,展期長達3個月,2003年冬參與日本文化振興會東京都藝術大展,所到之處均佳評如潮,備受讚譽。 除了原住民陶藝創作外,陳木泉受到日本和尚的指點,開始接觸天目茶碗的創作,並致力研究當中的釉藥變化,更因修行之故,對於創作有了不一樣的體悟,並以靖翁之名進行天目茶碗的創作。

靖翁期望能將好的、善的那一面透過作品傳達給觀者,在作品裡注入一種深度的精神性表現,並展現一種內斂、沉穩的美。2015年,靖翁在中國北京獲得2014中國陶瓷十大藝術家獎項,受到更多的關注與肯定。
Jing Om(Chen Mu Chuan) born in Puli Taiwan, a hometown of aborigines, and live in Yingge, a town famous for pottery art. Combine with unadorned, striking, and rich with meanings from aboriginal totems, clearly present the quintessential culture of aboriginal tribes. Jing Om has started to concentrate on Tenmoku works since 1997. Tenmoku glaze, an iron glaze, has a variety of different properties which are fascinating. This intriguing glaze not only has a variety of properties but the artist can use the glaze to successfully produce beautiful images in the tea bowls. Jing Om said "It is my hope that people can appreciate the beautiful scenery depicted on the tea bowls while they enjoy drinking the tea. " Jing Om try to capture inspiration from nature as well as passing on his own gratitude of life.
