🌸《展覽新訊》【今天的我們像什麼？ What Art We Today?】

藝術家｜黃薇 Wei Huang（b.1988)

生於1988台北，畢業於輔仁大學哲學系/法律系，爾後前往英國University of Leicester主修International Commercial Law，跨界於金融法律及藝術圈10於餘年．
長期以拼貼與複合媒材作為觀看世界與整理感受的方法。對她而言，拼貼像是一門關於平衡的學問，透過不同主題的拆解與重組，重新演繹顏色、節日、旅行、閱讀、電影與當下情緒。
本次展出的花卉系列，則是對「本質」的重新檢視。作品結合色鉛筆、水彩、眼影、指甲油等媒材，讓花卉不只是植物意象，也像女性柔軟而盛放的力量。每一朵花的姿態，都映照著不同的人生狀態與情感情境。

✨ Artist Statement：

Wei Huang

With over a decade of experience spanning finance, law, and art, Wei Huang approaches collage and mixed media as both a visual language and a way of thinking.

For her, collage is an exercise in balance—a process of breaking apart and reassembling fragments of color, travel, festivals, literature, film, and lived emotion into new forms.

Her floral series in this exhibition revisits the idea of essence.
Using materials such as colored pencil, watercolor, eyeshadow, and nail polish, she transforms flowers beyond their botanical form. They become expressions of softness and resilience—subtle yet powerful embodiments of femininity. Each bloom suggests a different emotional state, a different way of being.

鳳凰花（天堂鳥）象徵旺盛的生命力。每當藝術博覽會或各類展會，看見人們努力展現自我、追尋理想的光芒，總讓我深受感動。作品創作期間，亦受到《獵魔女團》主題曲〈Golden〉所傳遞的勇氣與能量啟發。

The Bird of Paradise symbolizes vitality and resilience. Inspired by the passion and determination seen at art fairs and exhibitions, this work reflects the light that emerges through dedication and courage. It was created while listening to “Golden,” whose energy and spirit became an important source of inspiration.

藝術家｜林潔絲 Jess Lin（b.1992)

出生於加州、成長於新加坡，擁有台灣背景。雖然被歸類為亞裔美國人，但因童年長期生活於新加坡，她始終感受到自己與典型「亞裔美國人」不同。
透過藝術，她持續探索「第三文化孩子（Third Culture Kid）」的身份認同，將不同城市、文化與生活經驗並置融合，在那些看似不相容的事物之間，尋找歸屬感。作品帶有奇想、童趣與淡淡懷舊感。
此次展出的

《Belonging｜歸屬》系列，透過食物、飲品與城市地景的並置，呈現對地方的情感連結，以及關於記憶與感官的微妙召喚。

Jess Lin（b.1992)

Born in California, raised in Singapore, and shaped by a Taiwanese heritage, Jess Lin navigates identity from an in-between space.

While often labeled Asian American, her upbringing has never aligned with a singular definition. Through her work, she explores the experience of being a “Third Culture Kid,” weaving together cities, cultures, and memories that don’t always neatly fit.

Her paintings carry a sense of whimsy, playfulness, and quiet nostalgia.

In the Belonging Series, food, drinks, and urban landscapes are layered and re-contextualized, evoking emotional ties to place. These works invite viewers into a sensory experience—where memory, taste, and atmosphere blur, and belonging is felt rather than defined.

這件作品靈感來自 Jess 從美國返台後，清晨自桃園機場返家的車程。疲憊的旅途中，看著緩緩升起的日出與掠過的街景，總能帶來熟悉的安心感。而回到台北後第一碗滷肉飯，更喚起對家鄉的思念與溫暖的歸屬感。

This piece is inspired by Jess’s early morning rides home from Taoyuan Airport after returning from the U.S. Despite the exhaustion of travel, the rising sun and passing city streets bring a sense of comfort. Her first bowl of braised pork rice in Taipei always evokes feelings of nostalgia, warmth, and belonging.

|展覽介紹

在花卉、食物、動物與城市記憶之間，
透過這次展覽，三位年輕藝術家重新觀看「現在的自己」。

有時柔軟盛開，
有時敏感如動物；
有時在熟悉的氣味、日常風景與片段記憶裡，
尋找一種關於歸屬的想像。

拼貼、複合媒材與感官記憶交錯並置，
映照著當代年輕世代游移卻真實的情緒狀態。

｜藝術家介紹

巫翰林Jay Wu (b. 1983)

創作核心圍繞於人類與寵物之間的共生情感。
擅長以極致擬真的壓克力技法與細膩筆觸，捕捉動物靈動而真摯的神韻，並透過作品傳達「領養不棄養」的生命關懷。

《一伴系列》透過獨特的半幅構圖，在畫布邊緣保留曖昧的交界與留白；那不只是關於彼此跨越言語的陪伴與守護，也讓觀者得以用自己的故事與情感，共同完成作品。

黃薇Wei Huang (b. 1988)

跨足金融法律與藝術領域十餘年，長期以拼貼與複合媒材作為觀看世界與整理感受的方法。

【What Art We Today?】

A Joint Exhibition by Jay Wu, Wei Huang, and Jess Lin

Exhibition Introduction

Among flowers, food, animals, and fragments of urban memory,
three artists revisit and reflect on their present selves.

At times, they bloom gently.
At times, they are as sensitive and instinctive as animals.
At other moments, they search for belonging—through familiar scents, everyday scenes, and scattered memories.

Collage, mixed media, and sensory impressions intertwine and overlap,
revealing the fluid yet deeply authentic emotional landscape of contemporary life.

Artist Introduction

Jay Wu (b. 1983)

Jay Wu’s work centers on the quiet, symbiotic bond between humans and their animal companions.

Working in acrylic with refined realism and delicate brushwork, he captures the vitality and emotional presence of animals, conveying a gentle but powerful message: adopt, don’t abandon.

His Companion Series features a distinctive half-panel composition, where edges dissolve into open space. These intentional gaps are not only visual—they invite viewers to step in, projecting their own emotions and stories into the work. The result is a space where connection, care, and unspoken understanding can unfold.

吳麗玉Lily Wu |纖維語法創作自述

我的創作以纖維為主要媒材，運用蕾絲、毛線、透明緞帶線等材料，將柔軟且富有觸感記憶的物質，轉化為具有線性結構與情感溫度的藝術語言。對我而言，纖維不只是材料，更是連結身體、感知與時間的媒介。
我重視線的表現。線在作品中不只是輪廓，也是一種流動的力量，可以成為人物的身體、花卉的脈絡，或情緒與氣息的延伸。透過材料的堆疊、交纏與浮凸，我希望讓畫面從平面走向半立體，使作品在視覺之外，也帶出空間與觸感的想像。
在題材上，我常以人物與花卉為主，讓纖維線條重新建構形象，呈現柔性而堅韌的生命力量。

時光不息流轉，我們能在此刻相遇，是難得的緣分。

歲月讓船身由新而舊，在光影與風雨中留下鏽蝕的痕跡；昔日的麗色與今日的斑駁相遇，交織出獨特而和諧的存在。萬物亦然——繩索、麻雀、木板，皆在時光中相遇與相融。

珍惜，因其難得；而難得，又如何得以長久？

我選擇此畫面入畫，因其光影、結構與色彩交織出多重美感，也是一場我與美在時光中的相遇。

在流動不息的世界裡，每一次相遇，都是彼此成全，亦是千年一遇的緣分。

本次展覽特別邀請三位來自義大利的藝術家——
Beni Chu朱耀紅、Stefano Misesti、Paolo Rui於馬年以西方視角詮釋馬的英姿與精神。

在他們筆下，馬不只是動物的形象，更是一種精神的象徵——
奔馳，是對自由的嚮往；
昂首，是對力量與尊嚴的凝視吸。
當東方的馬年意象，遇見西方的藝術視角，這些作品成為一場跨越文化的對話。
