(For English, please scroll down)

Around 1925, Surrealists started using a game as a creative technique. In French, it’s called Cadavre Exquis, and in English, it’s “Exquisite Corpse.”
This game uses a folded sheet of paper. Several participants collaborate together by writing a sentence or drawing a picture on the paper. After one person makes their contribution, they fold the paper so that only a blank area remains visible, and then they pass it along to the next person.
When they first played the game, it resulted in a sentence that was complete nonsense, but left a deep impression: “The exquisite co**se shall drink the new wine.” And that is how the game got its name.
To play this collective game, no advance preparation is needed. Every piece of content has its own unique value. Everything is incongruous, but it sets off surprising sparks of creativity. Gaming, coincidence, collage, combinations—elements with no intersection whatsoever collide and overlap. It completely breaks away from the concepts and norms under which the art of the past was produced.
In this special interactive area, let’s have a try at this creative game that the Surrealists loved.
