Tina Keng Gallery

In Sculptural Poems, Kuo Szumin transforms iron and stainless steel into open structures where light, shadow, space, and the viewer’s movement become part of the work.

As you walk around each sculpture, its lines overlap, its voids expand and contract, and its shadows continually redraw the surrounding space. Some surfaces remain polished and restrained, while others carry traces of oxidation—allowing time itself to leave a mark on the material.

We invite you to experience these works in person and discover how every change of position reveals a different composition.

Tina Keng Gallery is pleased to present Sculptural Poems, a solo exhibition by Kuo Szumin, opening this Saturday.

Working primarily with iron and stainless steel, Kuo employs geometric structures, deliberate voids, and the permeability of light to construct a spatial language between sculpture and architecture. Her works do not simply occupy space; they continuously transform through shifting light, the passage of time, and the movement of the viewer.

Like pauses within a poem, each fold, intersection, and open space awaits the viewer’s presence, allowing the work to unfold through experience.

Final week to see Su Meng-Hung: The Flowers of Coromandel, curated by Barbara Pollack.

Drawing from Chinese painting manuals, European floral paintings, and the history of Coromandel screens, Su Meng-Hung brings together images shaped by centuries of cultural exchange. Through silkscreen, repeated sanding, and the lacquer-inspired bientu technique, these borrowed fragments emerge and recede across richly layered surfaces.

At the heart of the exhibition is Su’s exploration of “inauthentic beauty”—where the boundaries between original and derivative, East and West, decoration and fine art are deliberately unsettled. Rather than searching for cultural purity, the works reveal how collision, translation, and appropriation can generate a new form of authenticity.

On view through next Saturday, 11 July 2026.

We are delighted to share that the Ministry of Culture has highlighted “A Blast of Lyricism: Contemporary Taiwanese Art in London” as part of the achievements of their Grant projects for International Art Fairs.

Presented at Frieze No.9 Cork Street by Tina Keng Gallery and Gallery de Sol, the exhibition brought together nine Taiwanese artists: Ava Hsueh , Chiang Yomei, Yao Jui-Chung, Chen Chun-Hao, Yang Chung-Ming, Su Meng-Hung, Chiu Chen-Hung, Lee Juo-Mei, and He Yusen.

Through their diverse practices and perspectives, the exhibition presented the breadth and vitality of Taiwanese contemporary art to audiences in London.
We are especially honored that the exhibition led to the British Museum’s acquisition of works by Ava Hsueh, Chen Chun-Hao, and Lee Juo-Mei, marking a meaningful step for Taiwanese contemporary art within a major international institutional collection.

Our sincere thanks to the Ministry of Culture, the participating artists, and everyone who contributed to this significant project.
