首都藝術中心〈Capital Art Corporation〉成立於1984年，初期以名家版畫為推廣重點，打造「質高、限量、平價」的優質形象，現以積極拓展台灣藝術為己任，致力將台灣現當代藝術之美展現於國際間，發展具全球性思維和版圖的藝術經營與推廣。
首都藝術中心更秉持藝術來自生活的信念，旨將精緻名家藝術品貼近群眾，以多元化的展覽規劃與跨界合作，引領民眾進入創作者的精神理念，並深耕本土人文藝術涵養，以立足台灣、放眼世界的宏觀視野，共同打造屬於台灣藝壇的國際地位。
近年隨著藝術市場的成熟，前任中華民國畫廊協會理事長，同時也是畫廊負責人的蕭 耀先生，抱持著「藝術美學，實務傳承以盡社會責任；提攜後進，讓地方與國際巧妙接軌。」的信念，透過精準的眼光與方針，涵納優秀之現當代藝術工作者。目前經紀代理劉其偉、楊英風、吳承硯、劉國松、李錫奇、林順雄、蕭 耀、徐畢華等具代表性之藝術家。三十餘年來持續參
與德國科隆、北京、上海、香港、首爾、日本、新加坡、馬來西亞等大型藝術博覽會，歷經國際藝壇洗禮，成為國內藝廊的代表品牌之一。

Capital Art Center has since been the leading promoter for limited prints in Taiwan. After thirty years of prosperous operation, the Center provided a most valuable communication platform for the artists and the collectors. With the maturing of the original creative art market in Taiwan, the Center redoubled the effort of promoting the current crop of excellent local artists and provided many opportunities to exhibit their creations. Capital Art Center has managed and promoted famous artists such as Max Liu, Yu Yu Yang, Guo-Song Liu, Shi-Chi Lee, York Hsiao, Jessica Pi-Hua Hsu, etc. The main service items included exhibition planning, Intellectual property authorization, sitting appointments for portraits, sculptures, Art Space Decoration planning, etc. York Hsiao, the ex-Chief Executive Officer of Art Gallery Association in Taiwan, who is also the chairman of the Capital Art Center, believes in "bringing local artists to the global stage and driving Capital to become a world-class gallery".
