Breath of Spring
41 × 41 cm, 2026
Acrylic on canvas
This work presents the coexistence of beauty and awe in nature through blooming cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms fill the entire composition and face the viewer directly, creating a sense of pressure beneath their softness and beauty. Although the girl in the center shares a similar color palette with the flowers, she cannot truly merge with nature because of her human essence. This creates a sense of alienation and unease—existing within nature, yet never fully belonging to it.
Picnic
38 × 45.5 cm, 2026
Acrylic on canvas
This work combines an everyday picnic scene with imagery of natural cycles, expressing a sense of calm layered with deep spatial awareness. The checkered background symbolizes a picnic blanket, while the blue flowers resemble scattered petals and also suggest a blooming flower field. The repeated arrangement of flowers represents both order and variation in nature, reflecting how life continues to expand within cycles of repetition and renewal.
The Land, the Sea, and Us
45.5 × 38 cm, 2026
Acrylic on canvas
This work depicts rising sea levels and the erosion of land through a composition where ocean waves gradually cover the earth, reflecting concerns about environmental destruction. The blooming flowers symbolize life, yet they are slowly being swallowed by the sea, suggesting the collapse of natural order. The ocean is also portrayed as a metaphor for human inner emotions, revealing a deep and uneasy connection between nature and humanity.
