展覽預告 Upcoming｜劉玹希 Liou Shiuan Shi Solo Exhibition
曙畫廊將於2026 年 5 月 2 日重磅推出「動力文明的遺構 —— 劉玹希的機械考古學」個展。 #劉玹希 的創作長期圍繞機械裝置與工業文明的歷史想像展開，透過對古董零件、軍事設備與機械構件的蒐集、拆解與重組，將原本具有明確功能性的物件，轉化為介於歷史遺構、敘事裝置與當代雕塑之間的作品形式。
這些作品不僅保留了機械語彙與工藝結構的痕跡，也進一步延伸出關於時間、記憶、技術發展與文明軌跡的思考。
此次展覽以「動力文明的遺構」為題，聚焦於那些曾經象徵速度、權力、戰爭與進步的技術物件，在退出歷史舞台後，如何以另一種形式重新被觀看、詮釋與召喚。
從展覽命題到作品形式，劉玹希持續探索機械結構背後的文化意涵，也讓來自不同時代的零件，在新的組構關係中，同時指向過去、映照當代，並開啟對未來文明的提問。
開幕將於當天下午 3:00開始，劉玹希將在現場親自互動與導覽，藝術家本人親述最是精彩，機會難得，歡迎參與。

Enlighten Gallery presents Remnants of a Kinetic Civilization: The Mechanical Archaeology of Liou Shiuan Shi, opening on May 2, 2026.
Liou Shiuan Shi’s practice unfolds along the fault lines of machinery and memory. Working with antique fragments, military remnants, and mechanical components, he collects, dismantles, and reassembles what once served clear and singular functions. In their afterlives, these objects drift—becoming at once relic, device, and sculpture—suspended between use and narration, between history and invention.
Traces of gears, joints, and worn surfaces remain, carrying with them the quiet persistence of craft. Yet beyond their material presence, the works open onto a more elusive terrain: where time accumulates, where memory lingers within metal, and where the arc of technological progress begins to blur.
Remnants of a Kinetic Civilization turns toward objects that once embodied speed, power, warfare, and the promise of advancement. Having withdrawn from their original roles, they return here in altered states—summoned, re-seen, and reimagined. What remains is not function, but resonance.
Across the exhibition, components from disparate eras are brought into new constellations. In these shifting arrangements, the past flickers against the present, while the future remains an open question—unfixed, and quietly pressing.
The opening reception will be held at 3:00 PM on the day of the exhibition. The artist will be present for a guided walkthrough. We warmly invite you to join us.
