劉玹希 (b.1986, 台灣) 的創作，基於深厚的機械學背景與對技術史的長期關注，透過古董戰機及歐美、俄羅斯的軍事裝置零件蒐集與重組，展開介於藝術與工程之間的「機械考古學」。

這些曾經屬於工業文明高峰時期的核心構件，承載著動力、速度與戰爭的歷史記憶，在劉玹希的轉譯下，從功能性物件轉化為具有象徵意義的當代裝置。

展覽將於本週六精彩展開。當日下午3:00舉行開幕茶會，劉玹希將在現場親自互動與導覽，藝術家本人親述最是精彩，機會難得，歡迎參與。

Liou Shiuan Shi (b. 1986, Taiwan) builds his practice on a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a sustained inquiry into the history of technology. Through the collection and reassembly of antique aircraft parts and military components from Europe, the United States, and Russia, he develops a form of “mechanical archaeology” situated between art and engineering.

Once central to the peak of industrial civilization, these components carry histories of power, speed, and warfare. In Liou’s hands, they are transformed from functional objects into symbolic contemporary installations.

The exhibition opens this Saturday. An opening reception will be held at 3:00 PM, with the artist present for a guided walkthrough. We warmly invite you to join us.

曙畫廊將於2026 年 5 月 2 日重磅推出「動力文明的遺構 —— 劉玹希的機械考古學」個展。 #劉玹希的創作長期圍繞機械裝置與工業文明的歷史想像展開，透過對古董零件、軍事設備與機械構件的蒐集、拆解與重組，將原本具有明確功能性的物件，轉化為介於歷史遺構、敘事裝置與當代雕塑之間的作品形式。

這些作品不僅保留了機械語彙與工藝結構的痕跡，也進一步延伸出關於時間、記憶、技術發展與文明軌跡的思考。

此次展覽以「動力文明的遺構」為題，聚焦於那些曾經象徵速度、權力、戰爭與進步的技術物件，在退出歷史舞台後，如何以另一種形式重新被觀看、詮釋與召喚。

從展覽命題到作品形式，劉玹希持續探索機械結構背後的文化意涵，也讓來自不同時代的零件，在新的組構關係中，同時指向過去、映照當代，並開啟對未來文明的提問。

Enlighten Gallery presents Remnants of a Kinetic Civilization: The Mechanical Archaeology of Liou Shiuan Shi, opening on May 2, 2026.

Liou Shiuan Shi’s practice unfolds along the fault lines of machinery and memory. Working with antique fragments, military remnants, and mechanical components, he collects, dismantles, and reassembles what once served clear and singular functions. In their afterlives, these objects drift—becoming at once relic, device, and sculpture—suspended between use and narration, between history and invention.

Traces of gears, joints, and worn surfaces remain, carrying with them the quiet persistence of craft. Yet beyond their material presence, the works open onto a more elusive terrain: where time accumulates, where memory lingers within metal, and where the arc of technological progress begins to blur.

Remnants of a Kinetic Civilization turns toward objects that once embodied speed, power, warfare, and the promise of advancement. Having withdrawn from their original roles, they return here in altered states—summoned, re-seen, and reimagined. What remains is not function, but resonance.

Across the exhibition, components from disparate eras are brought into new constellations. In these shifting arrangements, the past flickers against the present, while the future remains an open question—unfixed, and quietly pressing.

Enlighten Gallery warmly invites you to seize the final week of “Between Mist and Glimmers of Light”, a long-awaited solo exhibition by the serene and contemplative artist Liang Yu Hsuan, marking her return after five years.

In her work, the subtle sensations of everyday life—those that often escape language—are transformed into visual poetry. Cascading light, drifting mist, and the quiet shifts of temperature and humidity in the air gradually emerge through layers and dissolutions of oil paint.

Within the space, one encounters a delicate atmosphere: flowing light and shadow, and the airy presence of bubbles with a weight both light and tangible. In this low-toned stillness, viewers are gently guided back to their most primal perceptions.

In early summer 2026, Enlighten Gallery presents Liou Shiuan Shi’s solo exhibition Remnants of a Kinetic Civilization: The Mechanical Archaeology of Liou Shiuan Shi, marking his return after two years.

Featuring a new body of work, the exhibition creates a space that connects the history of technology with contemporary thought, offering new interpretations of the material traces of industrial civilization.

“Bubbles drift, as if they were vessels where light comes to rest. The course of light—once impossible to capture—lingers softly and ambiguously within an intimate space. One by one, like the footsteps of light, they fall gently and slowly like feathers, quietly extending into traces of illumination.

Window light and the shadows of trees pass through the glass and settle indoors. Natural greenery intertwines with traces of human presence—paintings, tabletops—within this private space, forming a landscape that spans both interior and exterior.

Dadaocheng brings together Taipei’s history and everyday life. Among its many layers, Pipaol And Love—transformed from a former cold storage facility—has been reimagined into a unique aesthetic space. As soon as you step into the alley, you can immediately feel its striking visual presence and atmosphere.

Liou Shiuan Shi’s small-scale solo exhibition, Contours of Time, opens here tomorrow. The artist juxtaposes mechanical installations with antique objects within the space, unfolding a dialogue on craftsmanship, technology, and the accumulation of time.

You are warmly invited to step into this alley on Minle Street in Dadaocheng, and experience the artistic atmosphere co-created by Liou Shiuan Shi and this story-filled new space.

「工作室面窗的一側，是我習慣創作的地方。光因此陪伴了我繪畫時的一大段時間。偶爾我會放下手中的畫筆，靜靜凝視光暈和窗簾投落的影子輕柔晃動，再細看，還能窺探塵埃如羽毛般飄浮，在空氣中劃出如舞蹈般的軌跡。

那些細微的塵埃和光融在一起，在光影交織著微微晃動時，漫出了一片如霧、滿載著光，既透明又柔和的氣息。畫中的泡泡作為光的載體，乘著我對工作室窗邊一隅的依戀。」—— 梁育瑄

"By the window in my studio is where I am accustomed to creating. The light accompanies me through long stretches of painting. At times, I set down my brush and quietly gaze at the halo of light and the gently swaying shadows cast by the curtains. Looking closer, I can even glimpse dust drifting like feathers, tracing dance-like paths through the air.

These minute particles of dust merge with the light; as light and shadow intertwine and softly waver, they diffuse into a mist-like atmosphere—filled with light, both transparent and tender. The bubbles in the painting serve as carriers of light, borne from my attachment to that corner by the studio window." — Liang Yu Hsuan
