KYOTARO’s (Kyotaro Aoki) first overseas solo exhibition, 《宿リ絵》, brings together works from different periods, private collections, and new works presented in Taiwan for the first time.

The exhibition also invites Mihara Yasuhiro and Ann Bai to extend KYOTARO’s creative world through visual art, fashion, and sound.

A work collected by Mihara Yasuhiro 26 years ago now becomes the central visual for KYOTARO × Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO’s first collaborative T-shirt. Inspired by the characters, memories, spaces, and emotions within KYOTARO’s works, Ann Bai curated a dedicated playlist that accompanies the exhibition throughout its run, offering another way to experience the works through sound.

For KYOTARO, paintings are not static objects, but living entities that continuously release energy.

KYOTARO（青木京太郎）首次海外個展《宿畫》，集結不同時期作品、私人收藏與台灣首發新作，並邀請三原康裕與白安加入，從視覺、時裝與聲音延伸 KYOTARO 的創作世界。

26 年前由三原康裕收藏的作品，如今成為 KYOTARO × Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO 首次聯名 T-shirt 的核心視覺。白安則從作品中的角色、記憶、空間與情緒汲取靈感，策劃展期專屬 Playlist，讓音樂伴隨展覽空間，也透過聲音開啟另一種觀看與感受作品的方式。

對 KYOTARO 而言，畫作並非靜止的物件，而是持續向外釋放能量的生命體。

Contemporary artist KYOTARO (Kyotaro Aoki) continues to create works with a distinctive presence through delicate yet dynamic expressions.

To celebrate her first solo exhibition overseas, “What Dwells Within (宿畫 / 宿り絵),” at Whimsy Works in Taipei, Taiwan, a special collaboration T-shirt will be released.

For the T-shirt, a work purchased by Yasuhiro Mihara when KYOTARO held her first solo exhibition, “VILO-VILO Dive into drawing P-house,” in 2000 has been selected as the graphic.

繊細かつダイナミックな描写で、唯一無二の世界観を描き続ける現代アーティスト、KYOTARO（青木京太郎）氏。

台湾・台北のWhimsy Worksにて開催される初の海外個展「What Dwells Within（宿畫 / 宿り絵）」を記念し、特別なコラボレーションTシャツが登場します。

今回のTシャツには、KYOTARO氏が2000年に開催した初の個展「VILO-VILO Dive into drawing P-house」の際に、三原康裕が購入した作品をグラフィックとして採用。

A KYOTARO original collected by Mihara Yasuhiro 26 years ago is reimagined through fashion and art objects. Ann Bai enters KYOTARO’s multidimensional universe through sound, creating exclusive music for the opening and a special playlist for the exhibition.

很開心和大家一起在現場看看作品、聊聊創作，也透過 Whimsy Works 奇想會共同策展人 陳柏霖 與「33 號白日夢」藝術家的交流分享，慢慢認識這次展覽背後想說的故事。

《DAYDREAMING》從一場跨越歐亞的藝術研究出發，最後回到台北，成為一場關於觀看、理解與交流的展覽。

《DAYDREAMING》

當我們走進一場展覽時，
究竟是先看見作品，還是先看見創作者？

《DAYDREAMING》始於一個簡單卻重要的提問。
過去一年，33 號白日夢走訪荷蘭、丹麥、瑞典、芬蘭、比利時與台灣，透過藝術家、藝術工作室與文化工作者的交流，重新思考不同文化如何理解身心障礙藝術。這段旅程最終不只完成了一本雙語刊物，也促成了這場展覽。
這次，Whimsy Works 奇想會攜手 33 號白日夢，邀請七位台灣藝術家共同展出。
他們使用不同的媒材、擁有不同的創作語言，也各自發展出獨特的觀看方式。
我們希望，走進展場時，能先與作品相遇。
不急著理解，不急著定義。
因為真正打動人的，往往不是標籤，而是作品所承載的情感、想像與創造力。
《DAYDREAMING》不是一場希望提供答案的展覽。
它更像是一份邀請。
邀請我們重新觀看藝術，也重新理解彼此。

距離上次造訪這座城市，已經過了三年。這一次，他帶著全新作品來到 Whimsy Works，展開為期一個月的個展《Everything That Has Been Hidden》，也再次與老朋友相聚，認識新的朋友。

超愛聊天的他，總能自然地與身邊的人展開對話。從展覽、創作，到台北的食物與社區，這段時間裡，我們分享了許多故事，也重新串起兩次旅程之間點點滴滴。

當我們問他：「如果你擁有一座『記憶博物館』，你會把台北的哪一件物品放進去？」

他笑說：

「我想，最主要的展品會是一雙筷子。」

「在台北，一頓飯承載的不只是食物，更是一種與他人建立連結的方式。當然，這裡的食物也真的太好吃了！」

After traveling more than 10,000 kilometers, Almost Free Services returned to Taipei.

Three years have passed since his last visit. This time, he arrived at Whimsy Works with a new body of work for his month-long solo exhibition, Everything That Has Been Hidden. It was also a chance to reunite with old friends and meet many new ones.

A natural conversationalist, he has a way of making people feel at ease. Throughout the exhibition, we shared stories about art, creativity, Taipei‘s food, and the people who make this city what it is—reconnecting memories from both of his journeys here.

When we asked, ”If you had a museum of memories, what object from Taipei would you put on display?“

He smiled and answered:

”Probably a pair of chopsticks.“

”In Taipei, sharing a meal is more than eating—it’s how people connect. And of course, the food here is amazing.“

Almost Free Services 於 Whimsy Works 奇想會展開半寫實、半超現實的視覺實驗。

Almost Free Services 是法國藝術家 Mathieu Courbier 的創作名號，作品結合插畫、平面設計、街頭文化與藝術創作。他以童趣卻帶有雕塑感的手繪風格，將日常物件、人物與花朵轉化為如遺跡般的視覺符號，創造出既幽默、神秘又帶有次文化能量的藝術世界。現居法國 Arles 的他，創作橫跨展覽、委託作品與品牌合作，近期亦與 OBEY Clothing 展開聯名合作。

此次展覽《Everything that has been hidden》以那些曾被隱藏的片段為起點，回望個人記憶、家庭空間與內在經驗。透過桌椅、家具、日常物件與反覆出現的石頭角色，Courbier 建構出一個介於現實、超現實與個人經驗之間的視覺場域。

在 Courbier 的畫面中，黑色不只是輪廓，而是重組色彩、形體與平衡的工具。厚重的線條、塊狀結構與即興式構圖，讓人物、花卉、風景與物件如同石塊或遺跡般存在，呈現穩定與張力並存的狀態。

在嚴格而形式化的世界中，Almost Free Services 嘗試尋找並創造屬於自己的自由空間。

Whimsy Works and OPALS Proudly Present: Almost Free Services《Everything that has been hidden》

家具、石頭與被隱藏的記憶，構成 Almost Free Services 最新個展《Everything that has been hidden》的核心語彙。

法國藝術家 Mathieu Courbier 於 Whimsy Works 奇想會展出全新作品，以桌椅、日常物件與標誌性的石頭角色，回望形塑其創作的個人經驗。厚重、近乎雕塑般的油畫棒線條，將記憶轉化為視覺符號，也讓滑板、音樂與繪畫等創作起點再次浮現。

Furniture, stones, and memories once kept hidden form the core language of the exhibition.

French artist Mathieu Courbier brings Everything that has been hidden to Whimsy Works, tracing the personal experiences that shaped his creative world through tables, chairs, everyday objects, and his signature stone-like characters. Across the works, recurring furniture becomes a marker of human presence and absence, while the silent rock figure acts as the artist’s alter ego — carrying ideas of stillness, movement, stability, and tension.
