德鴻畫廊創立於1993年，以推薦優秀且無國界的藝術為宗旨，致力於推動台灣當代藝術與國際藝術接軌。近年來推薦台灣當代年輕藝術家前進國際，並積極參與各大國際藝術博覽會，如北京中藝博 (CIGE)、韓國國際藝術博覽會 (KIAF)、台北國際藝術博覽會 (ART TAIPEI),
ART.

FAIR 21德國科隆國際藝術博覽會。
曾為台灣當代連線一員，舉辦Young art Taipei；現為亞太連線藝術會員，舉辦ONE ART Taipei藝術台北。未來德鴻畫廊亦積極將國際精彩的藝術作品引介到國內，讓許多藝術同好能近距離觀賞。

Der-Horng Gallery has been established since 1993. Our mission is to present high-quality arts without boundary, and introduce contemporary Taiwanese arts worldwide. In recent years, we actively participated in major art fairs and exhibitions internationally, such as CIGE Bei

jing, KIAF Korea, Art Taipei and Art Fair 21. Der-Horng Gallery became member of Taiwan Contemporary Art Link, and hosted YOUNG ART TAIPEI, International Contemporary Hotel Art Fair. In the future, we are eager to introduce excellent artworks to art lovers in Taiwan.

創作論述 Art Concept

Tez KIM 的作品通常表現他自己童年的片段，用來擁抱純真與遺忘。
透過他的回憶，我們喚起自己的記憶，並藉由我們的懷舊之情，以不同但熟悉的眼光來看待生命的光譜與挑戰。我們對世俗事物曾經有過的純粹喜悅，像是裝在紙袋中的麥當勞餐點。我們對於世界的無理的叛變。魯莽的勇氣與毫不遲疑的活力。一切都伴隨著最大的溫柔與脆弱。
他的觀點與情感繪製出代表我們的兒時景象，或許會刺激我們挑戰面對生活的態度。
Tez KIM’s works often embody various vignettes of his own childhood, embracing
hisinnocence and obliviousness.
Through memories of his, we jog our own;and with our own nostalgia, we see the spectrum of life and its challenges in a different but familiar light. Pure excitement we once had for seemingly mundane things, such as a bag of Mcdonald's takeout. Unwarranted rebelliousness against the world. Reckless courageousness and unhesitant vivacity. All with the utmost gentleness and fragility.
His scope of perspectives and sentiments paint a picture of his childhood that represents ours and perhaps provokes us to challenge our attitudes on life.

展覽論述 Exhibition Statement

《Wild Wild East》以牛仔形象為核心，但它將這個形象從美國文化的象徵中抽離出來，轉向更內在的層面：不是對場景的描繪，而是對自我的探索。Tez Kim 筆下的牛仔，象徵著沒有邊界的自由、不感孤獨的獨處，以及成為任何你想成為之人的興奮與快感。
就像孩子穿上戲服、進入角色般，這些作品捕捉了一種帶有遊戲感的精神：在這裡，勇敢變得輕而易舉，身份也變得不再固定，可以超越既有界限之外持續變化與擴展。
在這份遊戲性的表層之下，作品中隱含著一種細微的張力，為整體增添了重量與性格。牛仔的服裝看似張揚而自由，但內在卻仍保留某種克制。這種由日常期待與社會規範所形塑的安靜壓抑，使一切維持平衡，即使爆發性的能量正逐漸累積。在他們的眼神中，一種不需允許的頑皮與反叛火花，暗示著更狂野的內在。透過青春與純真的視角，《Wild Wild East》將自我表達視為一種仍在生成、充滿好奇的過程：它不追求確定性，而更重視自我探索的旅程。

Wild Wild East centers on the image of the cowboy, but shifts away from its American symbolism toward something more internal: an exploration of self rather than the setting. Tez Kim’s cowboy embodies freedom without boundaries, solitude that doesn’t feel lonely, and the thrill of becoming whoever you want to be. Like a child dressing up and stepping into a role, these artworks capture a playful spirit where boldness comes easily, and identity feels fluid as something that can shift and expand beyond the limit.
Beneath this playfulness, a subtle tension adds weight and character to the artworks. The cowboy outfit appears expressive and free, while something inside remains more reserved. Shaped by everyday expectations and social norms, this quiet restraint holds things in place, even as an explosive energy builds up. In their eyes, a mischievous and rebellious spark that doesn’t ask for permission hints at something wilder underneath. Through a lens of youth and innocence, Wild Wild East approaches self-expression as something curious and still unfolding: it is less about certainty, and more about the journey of self-discovery.

藝術家介紹 Artist Statement:

韓國藝術家 Tez KIM，1977年出生，現居住並創作於南韓。
畢業於美國羅德島設計學院工業設計學院。

「隨著年齡漸長和身心狀態的成熟，人們似乎總難以保有最原本的單純，反倒是更趨於感知世界繁雜紛亂的一面。面對生命在倏忽之間產生的質變，韓國藝術家金兌洙（Tez KIM, 1977-）在其近年以「黑髮男孩」為代表的系列作中，將對自我生命歷程的回望轉為創作語彙，透過孩童樣貌的人物形象，傳遞了一份獨屬於幼少時期的純真稚氣。」－非池中藝術網李竺恩撰寫

Born in 1977, Tez KIM lives and works in South Korea.
South Korean artist Tez KIM graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design 2009 in the USA.
As people grow older and their physical and mental states mature, it often becomes difficult to retain their original sense of simplicity. Instead, they become increasingly attuned to the complexity and chaos of the world. In response to the subtle yet profound transformations that occur over the course of life, Korean artist Tez KIM (b. 1977) has, in his recent series featuring the “black-haired boy,” transformed reflections on his own life journey into a visual language. Through childlike figures, he conveys a sense of innocence and purity that belongs uniquely to early childhood.

This exhibition marks the first cross-industry collaboration between Der-Horng Art Gallery and YASEN HOME STORY in Taichung. It is also Tez KIM’s second solo exhibition in Taiwan.
