"Why Do We Linger?" is tamtamART's response to the Whatz Art Fair 2024 regarding the exhibition at the hotel. This exhibition explores the accumulation and intersection of personal travel experiences, where travel evolves from mere physical movement into a conversation between the self and memories. Hotels play a crucial role as stopovers and transit points in travel, bringing together travelers from different countries and adding vibrancy to the journey of exploration. Artworks presented in such spaces disrupt the traditional confines of the white cube by intertwining space, artwork, and people, creating invisible trajectories that intersect. "Why Do We Linger?" The event invites artists to exhibit observational records of memories intersecting during travel or movement, as well as artworks produced on-site in response to the theme within hotel rooms. Documentary- style works, sound recordings, ready-mades, and interview drawings offer diverse viewing experiences for the audience.

What kind of scenery lies within the travel bag? In the bygone times, as I uncover objects from that era within the house through the images in the photo album, I rediscover the forgotten memories of my grand-mother through these clues.
Transforming the items in the travel bag into geometric blocks reflects the vocabulary that my grandmother can currently comprehend. Utilizing the format of artist’s books to document forgotten memories and employing photography to reinterpret the emotions encapsulated within the geometric blocks. When my grand-mother reads this work again, will she see herself reflected in it, or will the structure of the building blocks enable her to
perceive her own timeline differently?
