Be Fine Art Gallery Presents Solo Exhibition by Lee Hsu-Pin at The Photography Show, New York
We are pleased to announce our participation in The Photography Show at Park Avenue Armory, presenting a solo exhibition by Taiwanese contemporary photographer Lee Hsu-Pin.
As both a practicing artist and curator, Lee Hsu-Pin engages in a deeply introspective creative process. Through a nuanced dialogue between image and text, he constructs layered narrative structures that invite contemplation. His landscape works echo the aesthetics of classical photography, while being delicately reinterpreted through a contemporary lens—offering viewers an experience that is at once familiar and newly perceptive.
The works in this exhibition are deliberately scaled to encourage viewers to slow down and look closely. Within their quiet presence, one senses the subtle traces of time and memory, as well as the ever-changing surface of the earth. Through stillness, Lee reveals a profound emotional connection between humans and the natural world.
Director Nicole Dai notes: “Lee Hsu-Pin’s works are deeply gentle. He condenses his love for homeland, landforms, and mountains into each image—imbued with tenderness, yet carrying an intense love, a sense of pain, and an original intention to soothe and reconcile. By bringing this exhibition to New York, we hope to introduce a wider international audience to Taiwanese contemporary photography and the stories of this land.”
