We are happy to share that Azade Köker is participating in ‘Labouring Bodies’ at Museum Tinguely, on view from 10 June to 8 November 2026.

Curated by Sandra Beate Reimann, the exhibition explores the relationship between body, labour, technology, and care from a feminist perspective, bringing together works from the early twentieth century to the present.

Köker presents the ‘Akkordarbeiterin’ (Female Pieceworker), 1987, a terracotta sculpture reflecting on labour, embodiment, and the fragmented body.

The exhibition features works by Azade Köker, Berenice Abbott, Monira Al Qadiri, Rosa Barba, Rebecca Horn, Mary Kelly, Suzanne Lacy, Katja Novitskova, Tabita Rezaire, Niki de Saint Phalle, among others.

We are delighted to invite you to the presentation of the new artist book Planetary Fluke: Isolated Paradise by Janet Bellotto within the framework of the exhibition Cruising Territories. The book launch will be accompanied by a conversation between Janet Bellotto and the exhibition’s co-curators, Ece Ateş and Lusin Reinsch.

Through a rich combination of photography, research, and narrative, Bellotto takes readers on a journey to Sable Island, a remote and protected landscape within Canada’s national park system.

Land is often imagined as stable, and the sea as fluid. Yet this opposition begins to unravel the moment we look more closely. Beneath the fragile lines drawn to contain them, a restless surface quietly shifts: sand migrates, islands drift, coastlines erode, borders move. What, then, happens when land and water meet – not as opposites, but as a shifting threshold where stability and flux, control and resistance, continuously fold into one another?

Yane Calovski is part of the group show GIFTS OF FRIENDSHIP at Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, opening today, 15 May 2026, 6-10 p.m.

Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź presents Gifts of Friendship, an exhibition of nearly 150 works donated by 80 artists from around the world (2024–2026). The show reflects on artistic solidarity, highlighting friendship, trust, and collaboration as key forces shaping the collection beyond market logics.

The works included in Gifts of Friendship entered the collection as gestures of support for the museum and its program. Many were donated by artists who have maintained long-standing relationships with Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, while others reflect more recent encounters and collaborations. Together, they form a multidimentional portrait of a museum understood not as a neutral repository of objects, but as a living network of artistic exchange.

Yane Calovski shows Embroidery (2020), a large-scale spatial drawing made of black-painted birch and aspen rods that expands and contracts with each exhibition space. The work oscillates between sculpture and architecture, functioning as an inhabitable structure that visitors can move through like a three-dimensional drawing.

It originates from a small textile piece made by the artist’s mother in the 1970s, which Calovski translates into an architectural system of abstract geometric patterns. In doing so, personal and familial memory is transformed into a public spatial environment.

At its core, Embroidery extends Calovski’s understanding of drawing as a form of thinking that is not preparatory but structural. The work becomes a “lived drawing,” where memory, form, and space continuously overlap.

Sim Chi Yin is participating in the group exhibition Stay Connected: Supplying the Globe at Tai Kwun Contemporary, Hong Kong, on view until 31 May 2026.

Tai Kwun Contemporary presents Stay Connected: Supplying the Globe, the second chapter of Stay Connected: Art and China Since 2008. More than 70 artworks from over 40 participating artists re-examine China’s role as the world’s centre for the production and logistics that sustain modern life. They give insights into the individual stories, family histories, and lesser-seen places impacted by globalisation and by China’s unprecedented economic growth in recent decades.
