เมื่อวันที่ 17-18 สิงหาคม 2569 พิพิธภัณฑ์ธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ ร่วมกับ SOAS University of London, คณะโบราณคดี มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร, โครงการหน่วยวิจัยเฉพาะทางด้านประวัติศาสตร์และโบราณคดีในยุคเปลี่ยนผ่านศาสนาในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ คณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์, สถาบันวิจัยภาษาและวัฒนธรรมเอเชีย มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล และสถาบันพิพิธภัณฑ์การเรียนรู้แห่งชาติ (มิวเซียมสยาม) จัดงานประชุมวิชาการด้านพิพิธภัณฑ์และมรดกวัฒนธรรม ครั้งที่ 4 ภายใต้หัวข้อ “กาละ เทศะ และบริบท: พหุทัศน์ในงานพิพิธภัณฑ์ มรดก และศิลปะ-Time, Space and Contexts: Multiples Perspectives on Museums, Heritage and Art” ขึ้น ณ พิพิธภัณฑ์ธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ศูนย์รังสิต
วันจันทร์ที่ 17 สิงหาคม 2569 รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ดำรงค์ อดุลยฤทธิกุล รองอธิการบดี ฝ่ายวิชาการมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ได้ให้เกียรติมาเป็นประธานเปิดงานประชุมวิชาการฯ และ Dr.Stephen A.Murphy, Chair of Centre of South East Asian Studies. เป็นองค์ปาฐกบรรยายในหัวข้อ The Geopolitics of Restitution: An analysis of recent disputes between Thailand and Cambodia
ในงานประชุมฯ ครั้งนี้ มีผู้นำเสนอทั้งภาษาอังกฤษและภาษาไทย ทั้งสิ้น 42 บทความ จัดเป็น 11 Panel ดังนี้

การจัดประชุมวิชาการด้านพิพิธภัณฑ์และมรดกวัฒนธรรม ครั้งที่ 4 ภายใต้หัวข้อ “กาละ เทศะ และบริบท: พหุทัศน์ในงานพิพิธภัณฑ์ มรดก และศิลปะ-Time, Space and Contexts: Multiples Perspectives on Museums, Heritage and Art” มีความสำคัญในฐานะเวทีสำหรับการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ การสำรวจแนวทางการศึกษาใหม่ การทบทวนข้อมูลเดิมด้วยมุมมองร่วมสมัย และการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระหว่างนักวิชาการและผู้ปฏิบัติงาน ทั้งในระดับประเทศและนานาชาติ อันจะช่วยยกระดับมาตรฐานทางวิชาการ ส่งเสริมการพัฒนาหลักสูตร และกระตุ้นให้เกิดความตื่นตัวทางวิชาการในสาขาพิพิธภัณฑ์และมรดกวัฒนธรรมศึกษาในประเทศไทยอย่างต่อเนื่อง

On 17–18 August 2026, the Thammasat Museum of Anthropology, in collaboration with SOAS University of London; the Faculty of Archaeology, Silpakorn University; the Specialized Research Unit on History and Archaeology during the Religious Transition in Southeast Asia, Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University; the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, Mahidol University; and the National Discovery Museum Institute (Museum Siam), organized the 4th Conference on Museums and Cultural Heritage Studies under the theme “Time, Space and Contexts: Multiple Perspectives on Museums, Heritage and Art.” The conference was held at the Thammasat Museum of Anthropology, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.
On Monday, 17 August 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Dumrong Adunyarittigun, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Thammasat University, kindly presided over the opening ceremony. Dr. Stephen A. Murphy, Chair of the Centre of South East Asian Studies, delivered the keynote address entitled “The Geopolitics of Restitution: An Analysis of Recent Disputes between Thailand and Cambodia.”

The 4th Conference on Museums and Cultural Heritage Studies, under the theme “Time, Space and Contexts: Multiple Perspectives on Museums, Heritage and Art,” served as an important platform for knowledge exchange, the exploration of new approaches to research and study, the reconsideration of existing knowledge from contemporary perspectives, and the development of collaborative networks among scholars and practitioners at both national and international levels. The conference contributed to strengthening academic standards, supporting curriculum development, and fostering continued academic engagement and awareness in the fields of museum and cultural heritage studies in Thailand.
