Where the River Dreams

Beneath the cliffs, the waters glide
A little boat moves with the tide
The mountain stands in mist and gray
While willow branches bow and sway

Three travelers drift where currents flow
With nowhere urgent left to go
The oars dip softly, stroke by stroke
Through silver water, drifting smoke

Above, the ancient mountains rise
Their shadow reaching toward the skies
Below, the river holds its breath
And carries every sound to death

No crowded road, no city's call
Just stone and sky and silence all
The boat slips slowly out of sight
And day dissolves in fading light

Perhaps the journey's deepest art
Is knowing when to still the heart
To let the river choose the way
And simply drift into the day

Village Hidden in the Blue Hills

Blue peaks dissolve where white clouds roam
A small stream turns and forgets the road home
Petals fall drunk on the silent air
No one pauses—no one cares

A boat drifts loose from the thinking shore
The oar knows more than words know more
I laugh aloud—the hills laugh too
The world is far, the wine is true

The Ancient Xun

In the deep forest, where silence reigns supreme
A Chinese musician sits, as in some beautiful dream
Upon a branch, beneath the ancient tree's canopy
He plays the age-old Xun, in this tranquil sanctuary

His fingers dance, like leaves in the gentle breeze
As notes from the Xun, through the forest, tease
A haunting ancient melody, pure and serene
Echoes through the woods, a timeless scene

Beside him sits an eager apprentice is keen
To learn the secrets of this musical machine
The Xun's sweet song, it whispers of the past
A history rich, a legacy that will forever last

From ancient hands to these, a sacred art
A bond with nature, deeply etched in heart
The Xun's clay form, crafted by skilled hands
Intricate patterns, a story all will understand

In days of old, when empires rose and fell
The Xun's soft whispered song tells a tale
As it played in the courts, where nobles convene
In temples and homes, a presence serene

Now in this forest, high among branches that sway
The musician and apprentice, in harmony they play
Their music a tribute to the ages gone by
As Xun's ethereal notes reach for the sky

In the stillness of nature, where only they reside
Their melodies, full of ancient secrets, confide.
A timeless bond, from master to apprentice's heart
In the forest's serenity, they make their art.

As one listens to this ancient and wonderful refrain
The Xun's sweet music, falls like a soothing rain
In this serene forest, high up in the tree
The Xun's song echoes through eternity

Sun Flute Lady

Beneath the setting sun's warm, fading glow
Stands the Sun Flute Lady, a sight to behold
With ebony hair, like a river’s crisp flow
She's a melody woven in stories now told

In the dying light, her attire is spun
Like twilight, blending the darkness done
Her flute, a relic from days long gone
Plays ancient tunes, for the setting sun

From generations past, her history now thrives
A guardian of traditions, beneath dimming skies
With melodies that reach both earth and skies
She's a keeper of secrets, a treasure in disguise

As twilight descends and the stars begin to gleam
She plays for a reason, it's more than it seems
Her music, a bridge to her ancestors' dreams
A tribute to history, where memories stream

With the sun's final bow, her flute does send
The bonds of the past to the present extend
In the realm of twilight, where worlds transcend
The Sun Flute Lady's legacy, to the night, she'll bend

White Orchids

Upon a weathered forest limb
Where moss and shadows softly dim
The orchids lift their snowy faces
Like angels clothed in lacy spaces

Their petals, pure as morning's light
Turn darkness into something bright
Each golden heart, a glowing flame
Declares that hope and beauty came

They bloom where patient roots embrace
The rugged bark in a quiet place
Proving the strongest flowers grow
Where winds are harsh and rivers slow

No trumpet sounds, no proud display
They simply greet another day
Content to let the silence sing
The gentle hymn of early spring

Around them emerald leaves unfold
Guarding blossoms white as gold
While tiny sprays of yellow gleam
Like drops of sunlight in a dream

They neither boast nor seek applause
But flourish by creation's laws
A whispered lesson, sweet and clear
True loveliness needs naught but cheer

So may my heart, when trials press
Bloom still in quiet thankfulness
Like orchids on their ancient tree
Rooted deep in dignity

Though storms may come and seasons part
May grace take root within my heart
And may my life, serene and true
Reflect the peace these orchids knew

Just Fishing

Beside the bank a lone tree leans
Its roots have clutched forgotten dreams
Its crooked trunk, though bent by years
Has weathered storms and silent tears

The morning wraps the world in gold
A gentle tale the dawn has told
The sky dissolves in amber light
Transforming day from fading night

A little boat drifts slow and free
As calm as any soul could be
Its fisherman with patient grace
Finds peace no hurried heart can chase

His slender pole bends to the stream
As though it fished for more than dream
The ripples circle, soft and wide
Like whispered prayers upon the tide

No roaring motors break the air
No restless crowds come bustling there
The only sounds the silence brings
Are unseen fish and fluttering wings

The golden leaves above him glow
Reflecting in the stream below
Each mirrored branch, each fleeting ray
Makes earth and heaven meet halfway

Perhaps he'll catch a fish or two
Perhaps the hours will simply flew
Yet richer still than any prize
Are tranquil hearts and quiet skies
justfshing

For life's best gifts are seldom bought
But found in stillness, peace, and thought
A tree, a boat, the fading sun
And knowing less can still mean won

Red Bamboo Watercolor Scroll

In crimson stalks the bamboo climbs,
A scarlet song through ancient times.
Each graceful leaf, with sweeping flair,
Seems painted by the autumn air.

Dark mountain stone stands calm below,
A steadfast heart where still winds blow.
Its silent strength, both bold and wise,
Has watched the ages greet the skies.

Two birds alight with feathered grace,
They dance through heaven's open space.
Their golden wings and flowing tails
Ride softly on the whispering gales.

The brush leaves neither haste nor stain,
But flowing strokes like gentle rain.
Each line appears both loose and free,
Yet holds a quiet harmony.

The ruby bamboo bends, not breaks,
Through every storm that fortune makes.
Its lesson, written stem by stem:
True strength is found in how we bend.

The scroll glows bright on scarlet cloth,
Where art and spirit mingle both.
A painter's hand, both sure and light,
Has filled the page with living light.

So hangs this work for all to see,
A hymn to grace and constancy.
Though made with water, brush, and dye,
Its beauty never shall run dry.

Wild Horses Beneath the Moon

Beneath the moon two horses race,
One born of earth, one born of grace.
The chestnut strides through windswept land,
While spirit follows, close at hand.

Their flowing manes embrace the breeze,
As strength and freedom roam with ease.
They leave no chains, no hoofprints long—
Just silent dreams and nature's song.

Two Swans

Beneath peach clouds where spring’s pale waters gleam,
Two white hearts drift within one mirrored stream.
Wing answers wing, though neither dares to speak,
Ripples confess what tender eyes still seek.

Petals fall soft, like vows the breeze once knew,
Time slows its step where paired shadows move.
If dawn must fade and evening steal the light,
This shared reflection makes all parting slight.

Floating Peaks in Autumn Haze

Vapors unmoor the ancient peaks
stone drifts, unrooted from the world
Sheer walls pale into empty sky
their echoes lost in whitening air

A nearer crag stands dark with age
ink-weighted, steeped in elder shade
along its spine the maples flare
brief flames against enduring stone

Falls descend where sound dissolves
no dust of time disturbs their course
No path entreats the passing foot
no name is asked of wandering men

The mountains speak by standing still
the red leaves blaze, then yield to frost
