Returns and the Reclaiming of Meaning: How History and Place Define Artistic Practice

Blurborders, with BAB Café, cordially invites you to an engaging Artist Talk with Dr. Marta Bosowska, a renowned artist and professor at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan, Poland.

Dr. Bosowska is celebrated for her interdisciplinary practice that traverses sculpture, installation, video, and performance art. In this session, titled "Returns and the Reclaiming of Meaning," she will dissect how specific sites and historical contexts act as the primary architects of her work.

How does an artist reclaim meaning from the residues of the past? How does the history of a place dictate the form of a performance or sculpture?

Join us for this intimate session where Dr. Bosowska will share her working process through a curated selection of videos and photography. It is an opportunity to engage in a casual yet intellectually stimulating conversation about the intersections of memory, space, and contemporary art!

🗓 Friday, 23 January
🕛 16.00 — 18.00 hrs.
📍 BAB Café, BACC, 1 Floor
