Aqueous Mind

I will swim through its contemplations
as the light refracts above me.
Gaze upon the fronds of thoughts
and upon the shoals of shadows.
I will wander, and connect and
disconnect, return and become one with
This aqueous mind that rests
and wallows before me.
Its currents may consume me
as I rest upon its floor,
glancing upwards through the depths.
I may just see that it is me.

Where Does That Feeling Live?

"Unsure of what it pulls from me,
I stood entranced and wondered
from whence it sprang.
Did it begin right here before me?
Or was its origin sometime else?
Had it nestled in my mind or entered from
the outside,
peeking in or peeking out?
How does it whisper as it shouts?
And if I walk away and leave this here,
will it follow me?
Will I recall it in some moment,
unexpectedly?
Will it grow within me or reemerge
like some mature winged beast?
And as I pass,
will it take flight
and live itself an independent life?"
