Introducing Ioana Vrabie

Based in Barcelona, Ioana Vrabie is a photographic artist whose work explores memory, displacement, dreams, and the search for a place called home.

Through layered film exposures and traces of thread, she brings together places, experiences, and emotions into dreamlike landscapes where memory, perception, and reality coexist.

The Charoen AArt is part of Artsy’s feature on artist-run spaces.

This started from a very simple place, just trying to find a way to keep working. Over time, it became something shared.

The space has never followed a fixed model, and continues to be shaped by how work is experienced within it.

It’s still evolving, and still finding its place.
