America had NO NAVY for 8 YEARS. 😳

After the Revolutionary War, Congress disbanded the entire Navy. From 1790 to 1798, the most powerful nation-to-be was defended by just 10 tiny boats.

10 small cutters. Skeleton crews. A few muskets.
Against pirates, smugglers, and foreign privateers.

They were called the Revenue Cutters - the birth of the U.S. Coast Guard. And they somehow saved American trade.

This is the forgotten story they never taught you in school.

And they took on a PIRATE SHIP... and WON. 😳

In 1793, Captain William Cook and the cutter Diligence pulled off the U.S. Revenue Cutter Service's FIRST-EVER anti-piracy action in Chesapeake Bay.

But that's not all - that same year they boarded the French privateer Amiable Margareta and recaptured a Spanish ship FULL OF GOLD.

This is the real story they don't teach you in school.

Build a small, fast, versatile ship.
Crew it with people who can operate ALONE.
Send it where the big ships CAN'T GO.

From wooden sloops to 418-foot National Security Cutters, the name "CUTTER" has survived 200+ years for a reason.

This is why every ship over 65 feet is STILL called a Cutter today.
