Just weeks after winning America's Got Talent, 16-year-old Thai guitarist and singer Nene Royal has achieved another major milestone by performing alongside Avenged Sevenfold, one of her favorite bands.
The unforgettable moment took place on October 13, 2026, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, where Nene had been invited to open for the American metal band during their Asian tour.
After delivering a solo opening performance featuring covers of Muse's “Hysteria,” Soundgarden's “Black Hole Sun,” Rage Against the Machine's “Killing in the Name,” System of a Down's “I-E-A-I-A-I-O,” and The Cranberries' “Zombie,” Nene received an even bigger surprise.
During Avenged Sevenfold's headline set, M. Shadows invited her back onstage to perform with the band.
The young musician joined them for two fan favorites, “Bat Country” and “Unholy Confessions,” contributing both vocals and guitar, including lead guitar parts.
The moment represented an extraordinary achievement for Nene, who had spent years performing covers of Avenged Sevenfold songs at the Naka Weekend Night Market in Phuket, Thailand.
Her rapid rise began attracting international attention during Season 21 of America's Got Talent, where she impressed audiences with performances of songs by Soundgarden, The Cranberries, Muse, and The White Stripes.
She eventually won the competition and also had the opportunity to perform alongside Linkin Park during the season finale.
Now, less than a month after her victory, she has shared the stage with another band she grew up admiring.
