Bar Hostess, Vol de Nuit (Sathorn)
Vol de Nuit is a hidden bar. It is inside an art gallery, on Soi Suan Phlu in Sathorn. Every guest walks through the art to reach the bar.
You are the first person guests meet.
WHAT YOU DO
- Stand outside and invite people in
- Welcome guests at the door and take them to their table
- Talk with guests. Tell them about the art and the bar
- Check that guests are happy
- Clean glasses and tables. Check the toilets during the shift
- Help close the bar at the end of the night
You do not take bookings.
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY
- You stand outside for 5 to 6 hours every shift. It is tiring
- You need good English. You talk to foreign guests all night
- You must be comfortable talking to strangers. Shy people are not happy in this job
- Weekdays can be very quiet. Some hours have almost no guests. You must still stay ready and professional
HOURS
5:00 PM to 2:00 AM, Tuesday to Sunday. Monday off.
Tuesday starts at 4:30 PM to count the stock.
MONEY
- 13,000 THB per month, negotiable
- Tips: shared, from your first day
- Art commission: from your first day. A few hundred baht in a quiet month. Up to 10,000 THB or more in a good month
- Service charge: shared after 90 days
