ในค่ำคืนที่ผู้คนจุดธูป เรียกหาชื่อของผู้ล่วงลับ
ระหว่างกลุ่มควัน เสียงสวด และเครื่องเซ่นไหว้
บางสิ่งบางอย่างกำลังเกิดขึ้นอย่างเงียบงัน —
การบรรจบกันของโลกคนเป็น และโลกของผู้จากไป
•
กว่า 300 ปี พิธีกรรมแห่งการอุทิศบุญให้ดวงวิญญาณของผู้ล่วงลับ ได้ถูกส่งต่อผ่านกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์หลากหลายแห่งจังหวัดศรีสะเกษ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเขมร กูย เยอ และลาว แม้จะต่างภาษา ต่างพิธีกรรม ต่างชื่อเรียก แต่ทุกความเชื่อกลับหลอมรวมกันอย่างงดงามภายใต้หัวใจเดียวกัน — “การระลึกถึงผู้ที่เรารัก”

จากบุญแซนโฎนตา บุญข้าวประดับดิน หรือพิธีเซ่นไหว้บรรพบุรุษ ความเชื่อเรื่องผีบรรพชน ศาสนาพราหมณ์ และพระพุทธศาสนา ได้ค่อย ๆ ทับซ้อน หลอมรวม และดำรงอยู่ร่วมกันราวกับว่าเส้นแบ่งของภพภูมิไม่เคยแยกจากกันจริง ๆ

นิทรรศการ “อนันตภพ” ถ่ายทอดเรื่องราวจากงานวิจัย “การทับซ้อนทางความเชื่อในพิธีกรรมปุพเพเปตพลีในจังหวัดศรีสะเกษสู่การสร้างสรรค์ศิลปะร่วมสมัย” ผ่านผลงานศิลปะที่ไม่ได้เพียงบันทึกพิธีกรรม หากแต่กำลังบันทึกความรู้สึกของมนุษย์ต่อการสูญเสีย การรอคอย และสายสัมพันธ์ที่ไม่อาจมองเห็นได้ด้วยตา

ผู้สร้างสรรค์จึงถ่ายทอดแก่นแท้ของพิธีกรรมเหล่านี้ออกมาในแนวคิด “เทศกาลแห่งการบรรจบของภพภูมิ” ผ่านผลงานศิลปะร่วมสมัยที่เต็มไปด้วยพลังอารมณ์ ฝีแปรงอันรุนแรง สีสันที่เคลื่อนไหวราวกับเสียงร้องไห้ ความคิดถึง และศรัทธาที่ไม่เคยเลือนหาย

เพราะบางครั้ง…
ผู้ที่จากไป อาจไม่ได้หายไปไหนเลย
พวกเขายังคงมีชีวิตอยู่ในพิธีกรรม ในความทรงจำ
และในหัวใจของคนที่ยังคงเฝ้าคิดถึง

เพราะสุดท้ายแล้ว
มนุษย์อาจไม่ได้กลัวความตายเท่ากับ “การถูกลืม”

นิทรรศการที่จะพาคุณเดินทางผ่านความเชื่อ ความตาย และความรักที่เชื่อมโยงผู้คนข้ามกาลเวลา ระหว่างโลกนี้…กับอีกภพหนึ่งอย่างงดงามและสะเทือนหัวใจ

Amid the rising incense smoke, the echoes of chanting, and offerings laid gently for the departed, something unseen quietly unfolds —
a sacred convergence between the world of the living and the realm of those who have passed on.
For more than 300 years, rituals dedicated to ancestral spirits have continued to live on throughout the communities of Sisaket Province. Though practiced among diverse ethnic groups — Khmer, Kuy, Yer, and Lao — with different languages, names, and ceremonial forms, each belief is bound together by the same enduring truth: the remembrance of those we love.
From Bon Sen Don Ta to Khao Pradab Din and ancestral spirit offerings, beliefs surrounding ancestral spirits, Brahmanism, and Buddhism have gradually intertwined and coexisted, blurring the boundaries between worlds as though they had never truly been separated.
The exhibition “Eternal Realm” presents the creative research project The Overlapping of Beliefs in the “Puppepetpli” Ritual in Sisaket Province Toward Contemporary Art Creation through contemporary artworks that do more than document rituals — they preserve human emotions surrounding loss, longing, remembrance, and invisible bonds that transcend death itself.
Through the concept “Festival of Intersecting Realms,” the artist transforms the essence of these rituals into expressive contemporary art filled with emotional intensity. Violent brushstrokes, restless colors, and dynamic textures become visual echoes of grief, faith, yearning, and memories that refuse to fade away.
Because sometimes…
those who have left this world never truly disappear.
They continue to exist within rituals, within memories,
and within the hearts of those who still wait for them in silence.
And perhaps, in the end,
what humans fear most is not death —
but being forgotten.
