About Fan Shao Hua:
Fan Shao Hua (b. 1963, Guangzhou, China) is an acclaimed Singapore-based Chinese oil painter celebrated for his poetic fusion of Eastern brushwork and Western oil techniques. A graduate of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (1985), Fan moved to Singapore in 1990, where the city’s dynamic cultural crossroads inspired his signature style — one that unites the lyrical spirit of Chinese ink painting with the expressive textures of oil.

His award-winning works — including They, which won the UOB Painting of the Year Grand Prize (2000) — reveal a mastery of colour, form and emotional resonance. Fan’s paintings capture both the soul of nature and the pulse of humanity, often exploring themes of serenity, nostalgia and renewal. Fan Shao Hua’s works have been exhibited extensively in Singapore, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China, and are held in numerous private and institutional collections.
