🏛️ This International Museum Day 2026, museums around the world come together under the theme “Museums Uniting a Divided World”. The theme highlights the potential of museums to act as bridges across cultural, social, and geopolitical divides, fostering dialogue, understanding, inclusion, and peace within and between communities worldwide.
Last month, our Education and Outreach Assistant Manager, Cheam Xiu Ting, presented “Beyond the Gallery: Reframing Museum Resources for Classroom Learning” at the Museum & Schools Summit 2026, sharing how museums can extend learning beyond physical spaces through outreach programmes, digital resources, and classroom experiences.
Through learning, dialogue, and shared experiences, museums continue to bring communities together across cultures and generations. 🌏
🏛️2026年国际博物馆日以“博物馆：联结世界的桥梁”为主题，凸显强调博物馆作为桥梁的潜力——能够跨越文化、社会和地缘政治的分歧，促进不同社群之间的对话、理解与包容。
上个月，晚晴园教育与推广部助理经理詹琇婷在“博物馆与学校峰会2026”上发表《走出展厅：重新思考博物馆资源在课堂学习中的应用》，分享博物馆如何透过外展活动、数码资源及课堂体验，将学习延伸至展厅之外，让文化与历史更贴近大众。
博物馆不仅是保存历史与文化的场所，也通过学习、交流与共享体验，持续拉近不同世代与社群之间的距离。🌏
