A magnificent and rare type of Ibibio Idiok mask. Very richly and advanced carved with a lion on top of the mask.The style of eyes, mouth and teeth are typical for Idiok masks. The type of nose on this mask are typical on very old Idiok masks. The surface of the mask has the correct black lacklustre finish. Inside of mask has a very nice age and usage patina. Late 19th C. to early 20th C. 36 cm, 14,2 in.

A large Baule maternity figure from the Agba workshop with typical Agba workshop carving style of the face, coiffure, scarifications and body. The Agba workshop was active cirka 1920´s to 1950´s. The workshop made objects both for ritual use and for the market.
