Chrysler Building with Queens in the background. The chimneys that are painted red at the top belongs to Ravenswood Power Station. It’s a huge electricity power plant at the East River in the middle of the city. Not very far from the UN Building. It’s mainly run with natural gas but uses oil and carosene too. How healthy is that for the environment? Todays New Yorkers should be happy though, earlier there were advanced plans to make it into a i nuclear power plant. Image by me.
