We continue our Testimonial Series with another Western European dream spot: the dragon city, Ljubljana 🐉

Our adventure brought a fitting end to winter, enjoying a week of strolling on medieval streets with a Burek in our hands, while also bonding over similarities and differences of two medical systems 🩺

The Slovenian Twins also enjoyed a busy week in Bucharest, Sinaia and even Constanța, tuning into their Balkan spirit 💃

🍷 Have you ever dreamed of a city where colorful houses cascade down to the river, where the aroma of port wine fills the air, and every azulejo tile tells a story of maritime discovery and golden sunsets?

✨ We are thrilled to announce the next chapter of our Twinning stories, this time in breathtaking Porto — the soul of Portugal, where you will explore the historic Ribeira, experience the local medical system, surf the Atlantic waves and build lifelong friendships with the students!

🗓 The twinning will be taking place between April 23rd and April 30th, while your twin will visit Romania between May 14th and May 20th.

💸 The participation fee is 450 RON and it will cover accommodation, scientific and social activities, and one meal per day. Your twin will host you at their house in Porto, while the Portuguese twins will be staying in the student dorms.

❗ Please be aware that the fee will not cover airplane tickets or any extra trips.

🌞 We are thrilled to announce the recurring Twinning opportunity that everyone has been impatiently awaiting! Welcome (back) to Ismailia, a fascinating town watching over the Suez Canal!

📅 You will be discovering the Egyptian city for the duration of 2 weeks, between July 21st and August 4th, while your twin will be visiting Bucharest during September 1st - September 14th.

💸 The participation fee is 300€ and it includes hotel accommodation, private transport, 2 meals per day, as well as two day-trips to two different locations!
❗ Beware of the fact that airplane tickets and Cairo/Alexandria/Dahab trips are NOT included.
🏠 This Twinning does NOT require you to host your partner.

TWINNING ANTALYA
✨️The unique opportunity to experience the life of a medical student in a different country! Learn new perspectives and make special memories.

🇹🇷 EMSA Bucharest is partnering this time with EMSA Antalya to give you the chance to view the heart of the Turkish riviera with your own eyes.

🏖 The stunning coastlines, infamously delicious food, and ancient history combined with warm weather will guarantee for an unforgettable time!

✈️ We will be in Antalya from March 10-17, and welcome our new Turkish friends in Bucharest from May 5-11.

💵 The participation fee is 500 RON and includes the accommodation and breakfast at your twinning partners home, and all activities during that week.

❗️The flight ticket and dinner is not included in the fee. This twinning requires you to host your partner so people with an apartment will be prioritized.

🏰 Have you ever been in a country where culture and history intertwine into a fairytale-like setting, where caves hide beneath karst landscapes and the view of the mountains is close by?

✨ We are thrilled to announce the next chapter of our Twinning stories, this time in beautiful Ljubljana — the heart of Slovenia, where you will visit the capital in its entirety, experience the medical system, bond with the people, and build lifelong friendships with the students!

📸 Discover Ljubljana and its landmarks such as the Ljubljana Castle, stroll along the Ljubljanica River or cross it on the Dragon Bridge, discover the Old Town and so much more!

🗓 The twinning will be taking place between 21st and 28th of February, while your twin will visit Romania between 25th of April and 2nd of May.

Ever wondered what it’s really like to work as a surgeon in the UK? 🇬🇧 The British healthcare system (NHS) is one of the most unique and complex in the world—and quite different from what many of us are used to in other European countries! 🌍
Join us for our next MedTalks Abroad session, where we’ll be joined by Dr. Marius Negru, who will share his journey from medical school to practicing Trauma and Orthopaedics Surgery in the United Kingdom. 🩻
🩺 During the talk, Dr. Negru will open up about what it truly takes to work as a physician in the UK—the challenges, the rewarding moments, and how he manages demanding hospital shifts while keeping a healthy balance outside of work.
🏥 We’ll also explore how the UK medical system compares with those in continental Europe: from training pathways and hospital culture to how doctors and patients interact on a daily basis.
