This is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Porto, with narrow stone stairs and streets climbing the hill. Centuries ago, there was a jewish quarter which, until the present day, give names to some streets. The house faces a beautiful patio where you can see children playing and the neighbours in their normal life. Across the street is the old customs house, nowadays home of 3 museums and a congre

ss venue. This is a very traditional neighbourhood, full or genuine life and local people.It's almost impossible to find a house with more caracter. It's a 3 floor building with 11 big windows and a large conical skylight over amazing spiral stairs. In the center of the staircase, hanging from the second to ground floor, you'll find the 20 y/o beautiful ivy that gives name to the house.
