Está aberta a OPEN CALL para a próxima edição de 2027, do CIÊNCIA NA RUA Festival de Ciência e Arte!
Um evento singular, organizado pelo Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz e com Direção Artística da PIA Projectos de Intervenção Artística, que tem como propósito promover o encontro entre a ciência e as artes, transformando anualmente a cidade de Estremoz num grande palco de experimentação, criação e partilha.
A próxima edição decorrerá no dia 11 de setembro de 2027, em Estremoz, com o tema SUSTENTABILIDADE INSUSTENTÁVEL.
Neste âmbito, é lançado um OPEN CALL dirigido à comunidade artística nacional e internacional, para apresentação de propostas no campo das artes performativas de rua, nos seus mais variados domínios — teatro, circo, dança, música, cruzamentos disciplinares, entre outros —, tendo as propostas que se relacionar com a temática do festival.
Procuramos propostas artísticas que, através da criação e da experimentação, contribuam para uma reflexão sobre os desafios da sustentabilidade, estabelecendo pontes entre a ciência, a arte, o território e as comunidades.

As inscrições encontram-se abertas de 1 de setembro a 31 de outubro de 2026 e os resultados da seleção serão divulgados até ao final de janeiro de 2027.

The OPEN CALL for the 2027 edition of CIÊNCIA NA RUA – Science and Arts Festival is officially open!
A unique event, organised by Centro Ciência Viva de Estremoz, with Artistic Direction by PIA Projectos de Intervenção Artística, whose purpose is to promote the encounter between science and the arts, transforming the city of Estremoz each year into a large-scale stage for experimentation, creation and sharing.
The next edition will take place on 11 September 2027, in Estremoz, under the theme UNSUSTAINABLE SUSTAINABILITY.
Within this framework, an OPEN CALL is launched for the national and international artistic community, inviting proposals in the field of outdoor performing arts, across their various forms and disciplines — theatre, circus, dance, music, interdisciplinary practices, among others — with proposals expected to engage with the festival’s theme.
We are looking for artistic proposals that, through creation and experimentation, contribute to a reflection on the challenges of sustainability, building bridges between science, art, territory and communities.

Applications are open from 1 September to 31 October 2026, and the results of the selection will be announced by the end of January 2027.
