Warsaw Gallery Weekend starts in a week's time! Don't miss Tomasz Ciecierski and Natalia Załuska's exhibition "Synonymous Shapes" at Le Guern.
"Synonymous Shapes" is an encounter between Natalia Załuska and Tomasz Ciecierski around the medium of painting. Each uses their own distinctive artistic language. At the same time, they share a fondness for collage and a reflection on the creative process and workshop. Załuska's works are abstract in form, while Ciecierski is keen on synthesising shapes, photographs and language. One of the recurring themes in Ciecierski's work is the depth of the horizon. Załuska confronts space within the painting and in relation to its surroundings. The conceptual foundations of Ciecierski's painting challenge the viewer like an intellectual puzzle. In Załuska's work, the narrative inspiration for collage painting is more veiled. Most often, she operates with the exhibotion as a whole, the title of which suggests clues to interpetation amd provides insight into the artist's current concerns. Through dialogue, Tomasz Ciecierski and Natalia Załuska invite the viewer to search for close-knit meanings in the shapes.

The polyphony of Ernest’s and other beings’ speeches is entangled in technological sounds that abstract specific sources or causes. They speculate about a world based on different kinds of knowledge and sensibilities waiting to be embodied, where the non-linearity of spoken language seeks common points of encountered subjects. The prolonged doing nothing full of attention strives to build a more-than-human acousmatic community.
