➡️ 5 września 2026 roku na terenie Muzeum Treblinka odbyły się uroczystości patriotyczno-religijne ku czci Ofiar Obozu Pracy Treblinka I oraz Ofiar II wojny światowej. Wydarzenie zostało zorganizowane przez Parafię pw. Trójcy Przenajświętszej i św. Anny w Prostyni, przy współudziale Muzeum Treblinka.
🟡 W uroczystościach udział wzięli przedstawiciele rodzin byłych więźniów Obozu Pracy Treblinka I oraz rodzin osób zamordowanych w tym miejscu, duchowieństwo, przedstawiciele władz państwowych i samorządowych, kombatanci, żołnierze, harcerze, zuchy, młodzież szkolna, poczty sztandarowe, reprezentanci instytucji kultury, służb mundurowych i organizacji społecznych, a także mieszkańcy okolicznych miejscowości.
🟡 Uroczystość rozpoczęła się przy Żwirowni, skąd uczestnicy wyruszyli Drogą Krzyżową do Miejsca Straceń.
Była to szczególna droga – prowadząca przez teren, na którym przed laty cierpieli i umierali ludzie. W ciszy, skupieniu i modlitwie uczestnicy zatrzymywali się przy kolejnych stacjach, powierzając Bogu pamięć o tych, których życie zostało brutalnie przerwane przez wojnę i niemiecką okupację.
Droga Krzyżowa miała więc wymiar nie tylko religijny, ale również symboliczny – była wspólnym przejściem przez pamięć o ofiarach.
Po jej zakończeniu uczestnicy zgromadzili się na Miejscu Straceń, gdzie została odprawiona Msza Święta. Liturgii w tym roku przewodniczył J.E. ks. bp senior Tadeusz Pikus.
🟡 Spotkanie zakończyło się złożeniem wieńców i zapaleniem zniczy przed pomnikami na terenie Miejsca Straceń. W ciszy uczestnicy pochylili głowy przed miejscami upamiętniającymi Ofiary.
➡️ Na zakończenie J.E. ks. bp senior Tadeusz Pikus, ks. proboszcz Parafii w Prostyni Józef Poskrobko oraz dyrektor Muzeum Treblinka Edward Kopówka oddali również hołd Ofiarom byłego Obozu Zagłady Treblinka II, składając wieńce przed pomnikiem głównym.

➡️ On 5 September 2026, a patriotic and religious commemoration was held at the Treblinka Museum in honour of the victims of the Treblinka I Labour Camp and the victims of the Second World War. The event was organised by the Parish of the Most Holy Trinity and St Anne in Prostyń, in cooperation with the Treblinka Museum.
🟡 The commemoration was attended by representatives of the families of former prisoners of the Treblinka I Labour Camp and of those murdered there, members of the clergy, representatives of national and local authorities, veterans, soldiers, scouts, schoolchildren, standard-bearers, representatives of cultural institutions, uniformed services and social organisations, as well as residents of nearby towns and villages.
🟡 The ceremony began at the Gravel Pit, from where the participants followed the Stations of the Cross to the Ex*****on Site.
This was a particularly meaningful route, leading through the grounds where people had suffered and died many years ago. In silence, reflection and prayer, the participants stopped at each successive station, entrusting to God the memory of those whose lives had been brutally cut short by the war and the German occupation.
The Stations of the Cross therefore had not only a religious but also a symbolic dimension – it was a shared journey through the memory of the victims.
Afterwards, the participants gathered at the Ex*****on Site, where Holy Mass was celebrated. This year, the liturgy was presided over by the Most Reverend Tadeusz Pikus, Bishop Emeritus.
🟡 The commemoration concluded with the laying of wreaths and the lighting of candles in front of the memorials at the Ex*****on Site. In silence, the participants bowed their heads before the memorials commemorating the victims.
➡️ At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Most Reverend Tadeusz Pikus, Bishop Emeritus, Fr Józef Poskrobko, Parish Priest of the Prostyń Parish, and Edward Kopówka, Director of the Treblinka Museum, also paid tribute to the victims of the former Treblinka II Extermination Camp by laying wreaths at the main monument.
