This statue in the main square of Haarlem depicts Laurens Janszoon Coster, an inventor of the printing press alongside the more well-known Johannes Gutenburg. Without his work laying the foundations, the world would be a completely different place. Printing revolutionised every part of life, even my own business selling my prints, so here's to Laurens 🥂

Here’s a real treasure trove!

While not precisely dated just yet, this wallet full of old photographs is from around the 1940s, if not older!

This, alongside a huge pile of even more frames (some pre-1900!!!) will be popping up soon on the page, all rescued from fading away over time!

Paris is famed for iconic monuments, with a seemingly endless list of must-see sights, yet around every corner is another masterpiece that might not even get mentioned on the typical lists. Église Saint-Eustache is one of these, a place I simply happened across and could have easily missed.

Ascending one of the most iconic monuments in the world, the Eiffel Tower, is an absolute must- it offers the best views of Paris, and especially if you get lucky with golden hour and a clear sky, a beautiful place to enjoy a glass of champagne from the bar at the peak.

I think the idea behind this image is obvious to most, and if you haven't seen the movie inception, you absolutely should! I couldn't resist using a double exposure to try and recreate the famous scene of Paris folding on itself.

Heading back to The Netherlands tomorrow for a short break as my Fiancée insisted we go see Harry Styles so we may as well travel further afield for the concert and revisit this beautiful country to capture more of its Towns and Cities on film! 🇳🇱

Making things slightly more challenging this time around with my camera of choice - The Kodak Brownie Nº2. This model is from around 1907, when my great-granddad was only 8 years old 😅.

It has a surprisingly simple mechanism though, making it an easy repair, so I’m very excited to see how things turn out 🎞️

This image captures the edge of the famous "La Maison Rose", a beautiful and often photographed building in the hills of Montmartre, blending into the ivy and nature surrounding it. This double exposure was completed in-camera, and the only edited effect is the pink hue; to give the image a softness reflective of its subject.

Using such old cameras, particularly with black and white film, can occasionally lead to this odd effect- a picture, taken in 2026, that could easily be portrayed as 1926. Some things truly don't change, and it takes just the right framing to find a window into the past.
