The objects for which the Council is formed are as follows;
a) ‘To foster and encourage the development of fine arts, crafts, cultural activities, dances, music, literature, architecture, floral art, performing arts, film, radio broadcast, television, mass communication, literary functions, interior designing and sculpture. And also to promote the study, research in art and appreciation thereof th
rough the endeavors of various forms of arts and culture through exhibitions, lectures, workshops, classes, film shows, seminars, stage shows, concerts, national and international festivals, and performances and publications for the benefit of society through artists and art/culture lovers. c) To publish an art Journal, books and pamphlets for the advancement of the aims of the Council. d) To provide whenever possible, technical help and advice to artists working in any medium. e) To establish and maintain a library of books on art and crafts, the theatre and the ballet and on music. f) To organize art/cultural exhibition and musical concerts and to produce plays. g) To restore traditional dances and arrange trainings in music/folk dances and folk lore. h) To cooperate with organizations/institutions having similar aims or with individuals interested in art/culture elsewhere for the furtherance of the aims of the Council. i) To purchase or acquire on lease or in exchange or on hire or otherwise any real or personal property and any other rights or privileges necessary or convenient for the purpose of the Council. j) To erect, construct, alter and maintain any building necessary or convenient for the purpose of the Council. k) To sell, improve, manage and develop all or any part of the property of the Council. l) To enter into negotiations of contracts with individuals or organizations for the purpose of the Council. n) To do all such lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
