The National Museum of the Philippines โ Zamboanga proudly participated in the Regional IVY 2026 Celebrations Forum, organized by the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) in partnership with Zamboanga State College Of Marine Sciences And Technology, in celebration of the International Volunteer Year for Sustainable Development (IVY 2026).
Representing the museum as resource speaker, Ms. Maria Rosalinda K. Fernando, Supervising Administrative Officer, delivered a presentation on "๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐น๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฉ๐ผ๐น๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐บ." During the forum, she highlighted the National Museum's volunteerism journey, shared the history and development of its volunteer initiatives, and discussed the museum's practices in fostering meaningful community engagement through volunteer participation.
The online forum gathered representatives from national government agencies, local government units, higher education institutions, civil society organizations, corporate organizations, volunteer groups, and other sectors to exchange best practices and strengthen partnerships in advancing volunteerism for sustainable development.
The National Museum of the Philippines remains committed to promoting volunteerism as a catalyst for heritage conservation, public service, and community empowerment, recognizing that collective action plays a vital role in safeguarding our shared cultural and natural heritage for future generations.
