81st Commemoration of the Historic Battle of Surigao Strait 🇵🇭

The City Government of Surigao proudly presents the 81st Commemoration of the Historic Battle of Surigao Strait, a solemn and meaningful tribute to one of the most historic naval battles of World War II. With the theme “Immortalizing Heroism,” this year’s commemoration continues the city’s enduring commitment to remember the valor, sacrifice, and unity of the Filipino and Allied forces who fought bravely for our freedom on October 25, 1944.

The following schedule of activities:
October 23, 2025- 8:00- 5:00 PM | Luneta Park- Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts Showcase of Talents
October 24, 2025- 4:00 PM- Turn Over of War Memorabilia at BOSS Museum
October 24, 2025- 6:30 P.M.- Welcome Dinner at City Cultural Center
October 25, 2025- 5:30 A.M.- Memorial Ceremonies at BOSS Memorial, Brgy. Punta Bilar, Surigao City

Join us as we remember the courage and sacrifices of the Filipino and Allied forces who fought bravely in the historic waters of Surigao Strait.
