On February 11,1986 at about 11:00 AM, a man was crisscrossing the Antique Provincial Plaza, running towards T.A.Fornier Street in San Jose. He fell into the water pond, get up and run again. The photo of an artwork below depicted that fall. Sady, the pond does not exist anymore. He run again as the assasins pursued him. The man was Evelio B. Javier. He chose not to enter and hide inside the old Philippine National Bank as there were many people. The order was to kill him no matter what it costs. He chose to go to the back area. It was in this area that they finished him. Below is the picture of the bullet riddled concrete that stood witness to the brutal killing of Beloy. Even to the end Beloy chose to die so that others may live.

On 25 February 2026, the Ateneo community will join other schools, communities, parishes, and organizations in the Tayo ang People Power events in the EDSA Shrine and People Power Monument. As such, this day will be a University Holiday to enable our community to join the EDSA@40 commemoration activities.

In addition, Ateneo will also commemorate EDSA@40 with a University Mass on 24 February 2026, 10:30 am at the Blue Eagle Gym. A procession and recitation of the Holy Rosary will precede the Eucharistic celebration.

This photo of "solidap" by Eldred Remo brings back the memories of how Beloy inspired the people of Antique to dream. Way back then, students and pupils especially in San Jose area gladly brought solidap for the roofing of the now Binirayan Sports Complex. The sports complex was built from the sweat and love of the people. Many people laughed on Beloy's dream to establish a Binirayan Sports Complex without a big budget. But, the people of Antique did it!

Today, a group of Antikenyos and Antikenyas will gather again to revisit, discuss, theorize, exchange ideas about Antique culture. The group called this Brainyrayan, and today, it will be held at the Antique National School. This has been inspired by the thought and challenge on the story of the Bornean datus, dayang and their clan who sailed the sea in their biniday and settled in Panay Island and particulary established the first Malay Settlement in Hamtik. It started with the question, Is it a myth, legend or part of history? And it leads to more questions & discourses. Based on the resume of Evelio B. Javier, Binirayan, which he initiated in 1974 is one of his significant projects. It restored the pride and confidence of the people of Antique. Sharing the said resume.
