The Museo Sang Bata sa Negros (MSBN) is a hands-on, interactive museum for children focused on the marine environment. It is located on the shoreline directly facing the 32,000-hectare Sagay marine protected area, locally called SMR (Sagay Marine Reserve). Close to 98% of the people living in and around this area are dependent on the marine resources for their food and livelihood.

Museo Sang Bata Sa Negros first opened as a historical museum. However in 2005, it closed
due to the deterioration of the building it was occupying. In the same year, a new building was constructed at a different site, and in 2006 , Museo Sang Bata Sa Negros reopened, this time as a marine museum for children and located in Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City and facing the 32,000 Sagay Marine Protected Area or SMR.
