Pintor Kulapol was organized in 1989 by Fabrica based artist Nunelucio Alvarado. He formed the group because he wanted to uplift the community, to make them see that art is not just a painting on a canvas. rt in organizing the first nature encounter DUTA, TUBIG, HANGIN festival in Brgy. Fabrica. it was the first artist festival formed in the community and in the city of Sagay. the festival focused on the 3 basic elements as using it for art. DUTA,TUBIG,HANGIN was not just an festival for gathering artists, it was a festival to interact the artists with the people in the community. After 27 years of art making the group has evolved from painting on a canvas to making use of the materials that is around in their community like wood slubs, bamboo, clay as medium for their art. by doing so, the Pintor Kulapol is still flourishing in their journey for art making in their community
