The OG art group for portraiture in the Philippines, the Filipino Portrait Artists Guild, saw action today at the Gateway Gallery Studio. The group, founded by the late artist Romeo Carlos, has regularly held its live sketching sessions every other Thursday since 2015.

More people are creating quality art under the Art in the City Art Workshops For a Cause! 🎨

Pastel artist and teacher Julius Legaspi of The Travelling Pastel Project made seascape pastel painting so easy during the May 30 session of the Art in the City. The works that the students created reflect their inspired energy.

We recently welcomed the J. Amado Araneta Foundation Scholars from Bago City, Negros Occidental, who made a quick stop at Gateway Gallery and other Araneta City attractions. Fresh from their character-building scholars camp in Rizal, the SEAS scholars enjoyed this fun breather before flying back to Bago City.

The Student Excellence Award and Scholarship is a project of the J. Amado Araneta Foundation that supports the college studies of high school valedictorians from Bago City and Quezon City.
