The arbitral tribunal constituted under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) ruled on 12 July 2016 that China's Nine-Dash Line claim has no legal basis and affirmed the Philippines' maritime entitlements under UNCLOS.

The Nine-Dash Line is China's unilateral claim over most of the South China Sea. It has no legal basis under international law.

ᴄᴇʟᴇʙʀᴀᴛɪɴɢ 140 ʏᴇᴀʀꜱ ᴏꜰ ɪɴɴᴏᴠᴀᴛɪᴏɴ

Yesterday, our museum partnered with Mercedes-Benz Philippines and Inchcape Philippines to celebrate a landmark milestone: the 140 years of automotive innovation, tracing back to Karl Benz’s invention of the first automobile in 1886.

During the program, Mr. Benjamin Bautista, Head of Mercedes-Benz Product and Sales, and Mr. Ismael Magallanes Jr., OIC of the NHCP Presidential Car Museum, delivered remarks highlighting the brand’s enduring legacy and the museum’s vital role in preserving automotive heritage.

A key highlight of the event was an exclusive guided tour led by Mr. Cris Emmanuel Lazaro, which showcased four historic Mercedes-Benz presidential vehicles used by former Philippine presidents.

The celebration culminated in the official launch of a highly detailed scale model of the 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the world’s very first automobile, which is now officially on display at the museum.

We join the Filipino people in remembering Guillermo Tolentino on the occasion of his 50th death anniversary.

In commemoration, we are sharing with you the bust of Carlos P. Romulo, created by National Artist for Sculpture Guillermo Tolentino, which is currently on exhibit at the IMPETUS: Romulo, Architect of Diplomacy Gallery at the Presidential Car Museum.

We invite you to visit the gallery and appreciate this remarkable work, along with the inspiring story of one of the Philippines' foremost diplomats.

The Presidential Car Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and admission is free.
