SANTA MARIA, INA NG DIYOS!

Sa Dakilang Kapistahang ito ngayong unang araw ng bagong taon, ipinaaalala sa atin na minamahal natin si Maria sapagkat una na siyang minahal ng Diyos - minahal siya ni Hesus, ang Diyos nati't Haring totoo, bilang Kanyang Ina. Sa bisa ng pagtugon ni Maria sa kawilihan ng Ama, naisakatuparan ang pagkakatawang-tao ng dakilang Salita, sumilang sa atin ang Mesias na magliligtas sa sanlibutan, Siyang dahilan ng ating kapaskuhan.

"Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen!

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen!

Today, we remember the life and works of our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Through the quiet voice of his quill and papers, he strenghtened in the hearts of our forefathers the ignition to fight for our freedom, giving birth to more heroes who paved the way for the independence we now cherish today.

In honoring his legacy, we are reminded that the real patriotism is not only manifested in heroic sacrifices but also in the daily quest for truth, justice, and love. The unwavering commitment of Rizal to education, the building of a nation, and the moral courage still draws us the values he had struggled for, urging every Filipino to participate, however small the contribution may be, to the progress and respect of our country.

MALIGAYANG PASKO PO SA ATING LAHAT! 🌟

Nang may ngiti sa ating mga puso, nang may pasasalamat at taimtim na pag-irog, ipahatid natin sa ating Panginoon ang isang maligayang pagbati! Sa muling pagsapit ng Pasko, ito ay isa nanamang pagkakataon upang ating ibigay kay Kristo ang pagtanggap nang buong-galak. Sa diwa ng pagbibigayan, nawa'y tayo ay magsilbing pag-asa ngayong Taon ng Hubileyo at maging mukha ng pag-ibig para sa bawat isa.

In one of the Museo Diocesano de Pasig's quiet serene corners, lies what beheld the Patrona Coronada, La Inmaculada Concepcion de Pasig, during her Canonical Coronation on December 07, 2008, the Canonical Manto, Sobremanto, and Primera Manto.

This regalia, derived from the Marian traditions of Spain, is made of Piña Fabric and is given a Filipino touch with embroidered Sampaguita, Ilang-ilang, and other elements of the Philippine Flora. It is on permanent display in the museum, along with a replica of the Coronation Bull, and the tray which is used to carry the Patrona Coronada's crown jewels during expositions.

"Minsan pa ang Pasig ay nag-alay..."

On this day in 2012, the newly enhanced Museo Diocesano de Pasig was inaugurated by His Excellency, Most Rev. Mylo Hubert C. Vergara, unveiling a new addition to its halls, the mural "Sa Paglipas ng Panahon," detailing the Church and Local History of Pasig. Once hailed as one of the longest ecclesiastical murals in the country, it was painted by a Pasigueño Artist, Mr. Derrick C. Macutay.

The Museo is forever grateful to the Abang Lingkod ni Maria and the Ayala Museum who spearheaded the project.

In this second day of November, we remember the lives of all the faithful departed and pray especially for all the souls in purgatory.

May God mercifully hear our prayers to accept them into His eternal embrace. We call upon the Blessed Virgin Mary to touch the heart of her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that finally, they may be granted to rest in peace. Amen.

IN OMNIBUS AMARE ET SERVIRE DOMINO

Today, in all joy and solemnity, the Church honors the victorious Saints, those who through their holiness, sacrifices, wisdom, and lives offered to the Lord, now shares in the eternal glory of Christ. Raised into the altars of veneration, they stand as the Triumphant Church, gracing us the legacy of sanctity.

Let us not forget their powerful intercessions, that in the limitations of our spirit, the heavens are always on our side as we call upon their blessed names with the plea, "Ipanalangin niyo po kami." They are the everlasting testament that God is ever near to His people.

May this very day renew in our hearts the call to traverse the path of holiness - to love and serve the Lord.
